Chilean landscapes range from arid desert in the north to glaciers and fjords in the south. With its luxurious lakes, coastal beach, spectacular mountain ranges, Chile is a wonderland of excitement for those who want to live in South America permanently.
If you choose Chile, you will be able to ski in the winter and live by the beach in the summer. These things are considered a luxury in most countries, if at all possible, there, there are plenty of opportunities to do so here such that those activities are taken for granted. You’ll soon discover so much in this city that you would find it hard to determine where to get started. Meanwhile, you will spend much less enjoying all those things.
If you want to feel like an urban dweller, choose Santiago the capital city of Chile. It's one of the best cities to live in on the continent. Santiago is widely developed and advanced such that expatriates and retirees will love it. The cost of living is not too high as you can live on about $1,000 a month in a country with the highest standard of living. Peru is one of the best country to live in South America! The food is great, the people are great, the economy is currently not bad at the moment, and the infrastructure has gotten better.
Despite Uruguay and Chile in the first positions, which is correct, other list members make no sense.
Totally wrong places to live in South America, the only right is Uruguay,Argentina more than 40 % live in extreme poverty,high crime,robberies, tunemployment, and the argentinian peso is money garbish, Chile is so far and so cold, Paraguay is another one,totally disaster opinion about South America
The best thing of Uruguay, is how close it is to Buenos Aires, Argentina. There's nothing to do in Uruguay or Chile. Argentina has more to offer in any aspect: culture, sports, tourism...

The majority of English pronounciations for all the international cities are not correct. Any language for that matter as well due to the limited vowels and consonants etc.

I know my country, economic debacle? YES...Hungry? for sure not. Maybe the natives that avoid contact with the system, the rest of the people eat very very well I can assure you.

@@TheQuietWolf_ I agree about problems for certain people and many argentines choose Brazil because we love it there although it's not paradise either but it's not like living in Argentina is hell, that's a long stretch. I was doing fine in Buenos Aires, I had a good job at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs but after 8 years living there my wife begun to miss her family and country and we came here. My reality and the reality of ALL the people I've ever known is different of those who have to leave becasue of poverty. Buenos Aires is mostly middle class, and most argentines arre used to deal with economic problems, we've had them since the last 70 years, an entire generation so....I know what Im talking about and I know what you mean, but your eye is blindsided by lineal opinons, not everyone has problems. En Brasil la gente es explotada los sueldos son bajísimos , lo se porque soy Uruguayo y con lo que ganó en Uruguay , soy casi rico en Argentina y en Brasil. Brasil es una economía poderosa por tamaño y cantidad de población pero su gente común no vive bien , Uruguay es el más estable de la región .
