Singapore and Japan are great in terms of general physical safety and infrastructure but I'm not sure if they should be on this list especially in the top 2 spots. Especially during and after Covid. They aren't really accessible anymore especially Japan.

No sure Malaysia in 6th place where foreign investment has drop tremendously. Not many job opportunities but for retiree it's pleasure to live as there are plenty available housing in states of Johor, Penang, Kuala Lumpur & Selangor.

As Indonesian, I find the ranking interesting. Particularly since Indonesia ranked 10th..😅 I would recommend Batam island instead of Bali for first timer who wants to work and live in Indonesia. Since Battam's been designed by Indonesian authorities to be major foreign investment region, and is only 40minutes away from Singapore and Johor Malaysia by fery, you would experience more interesting transitional way of living from western world to East Asian region. Moreover it's like a bridge between the 10th to the number one rank i.e Singapore in this video to summarize its list..😂

i want to find a way to live in an Asian country. i thought of Japan, and i might still choose Japan, but who knows if another country could be better. i work as a pharmacy tech, so i don't know if any country would take on a foreigner who has medical experience in pharmacy. not to mention that i want to be able to earn even just enough to afford a house if not an apartment (I prefer to get a house of my own), i do like the safety and wonderful sights. my biggest concerns is that i'm nonreligious, i fear if i go to malaysia, which is islamic, i won't be welcome. i'm not too crazy about nightlife, i do want to make some friends. i don't what would be best. if anyone can help me out, that would be great. i do want to add in too that i know that it would be required to learn their language, which i will do. i'm certainly learning Japanese because i do want to move there. but it's not like i wouldn't try other if it doesn't work for me for some reason. not to mention that even if i can't live in Japan, maybe south korea so i can visit more often at least.

Living in a country is not that simple. There are many things to consider, such as housing environment, wages, cost of living, working conditions, public health, medical insurance, education system, social security and etc. Countries that are well equipped for these are called developed countries. Considering this, it seems that Japan and S. Korea are better for living in Asia. Singapore is just a city, so you can't feel the natural environment. In addition since Singapore is located in the south, you can't experience the wonderful four seasons(spring, summer, fall, winter).

Japan is overrated. just live in Japan. They are kind on the outside but full of discrimination on the inside. You can only have a very simple friendship with them. Taiwan and Korea, on the other hand, are opposite to Japan. They look a little cold at first, but they become true friends when they get close.
