I like it a lot. But that is a crazy price. You can buy a very nice class A diesel for that price

Glad to see you posting on KZread! I know a lot of folks are coming here because they know your history of vanlife and they are familiar with the STO line of Mode vans. One thing that would be useful to see is if you could show some places you took the Hilt that would be too challenging for a Sprinter van. I know we can conceptualize it, but it’d be great to actually see the terrain only the Hilt could traverse.

We’ve got a lifestyle video with the Hilt coming but we didn’t take it rock crawling where it would shine in comparison to the Sprinter

I was led to understand ‘Super C’ meant air brakes and semi-truck chassis cabs. That’s a C unless it does have air brakes. Other KZreadrs have them mixed up too like Matt’s Reviews.

It’s a somewhat arbitrary definition. Most of the time it refers to a truck on a heavier chassis (which this has) and a diesel engine.

Better than tiny house. Use for homeless villages they keep building. Would not need a cab so would be bigger. Government pays hundreds of thousands per unit for homeless. More cost effective than tiny house.

I never understood why RV manufacturers limit ceiling height. Why would you intentionally lose sales to everyone over 6 ft. 1 that's a huge market these days as people are much taller I see 6ft 4 and above freaks all the time now. How hard is it to make a ceiling 6ft 8 standard in every RV? Then you have 99.9 percent of the market. If your over 6 ft. 8 your probably in the NBA or in the circus.

I drove a Spriner Van for 4 Years as a deliver Agent in Texas . Diesel Sprinter vans can have some downsides, Diesel engines can be more expensive to maintain and may require more specialized knowledge for servicing. Example :If you don't fill the DEF requirement to a proper level , you will get 3 warnings going down the road . After a certain amount of time after that , your engine will stop , it AUTOMATICALLY LOCKS UP THE TRANSAXLE AND ENGINE , and you will not be allowed to start it till a certified Mercedes Mechanic unlocks it for you . In other words , no matter where you are or what time of day or night , you will need to be towed into a ( Mercedes Dealer ). It happened to me even after i called my employer on the road in the countryside ...explained to him what my situation was , and he insisted i ignore it a drive to my next delivery anyway. It cost him dearly in money and days, the tow , the wait time , the missed deliveries , my overtime , the long haul through 2 counties to a Mercedes dealer , and then the breakdown of the unlock from Mercedes. All because of good old ( DEF Fluid ) , that is a requirement especially in Texas . Diesel can be hard to find in urban areas, especially where freight and other diesel vehicles are less common. Maintenance costs . Longevity Diesel engines are known to go way over 500,000 miles, especially Mercedes Sprinter engines. Crosswind assist Mercedes has a feature called cross parenthesis that locks two wheels on the other side when the wind blows, which can make the van push a little bit. Other common problems with the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter include: Rumbling sounds: Can result from the wrong transmission fluid oil or not the right fluid level Clogged DPF: Can cause reduced power or limp mode Glow plug problems: Can cause limp mode

The thing about "stealth" is not looking like an eye sore (like your rig is ghetto AF with tarps, rusting, etc...) and MOVE around. If you're going to live in an urban area have at least 7-10 spots that you can go back and forth from. You have wheels - use them! It's the ones that park and then to proceed to use other parking spots as their home, leave trash everywhere - and then they wonder why they are getting knocks on the door. And as a result, places like Walmart aren't letting vehicles stay overnight b/c people abuse the system. If anyone is familiar with Justin -from JustINcredibleTV he's view of being "stealth" is basically the same things that I pointed out. It's not about having a box truck with no windows, if you'er constantly there, then eventually you''re going to get a knock on the door.

Sold my house and hoping to find a class B/B+ that'll work for me. My biggest challenge is im 6'3" but can deal with living in a "cave" as a solo traveler. Looking for 70% comfort 30% adventure. I do like the Leisure Travel Wonder 24RL but also the Jayco Granite Ridge. Prefer Ford/Ram. Really interested in the Ram Super High Roof but cant find many builds on that. Would like enough storage for an e-bike and some outdoor seating/cooking options. Don't mind if my feet (not legs) hang off the bed. Any advice? Just started looking at RVs in person. I'm in Florida. Thanks!

2 years later.. The company was bought from Australia to a Chinese Company. Quality immediately went downhill and safety concerns started appear. Now they are complete garbage. You're risking your life if you buy one of these. Axel blowouts should not happen. That's not normal.

We put toilet paper in a basket, we use baking soda instead of chemicals and dump our five gallon porta potty (Thetford Curve gets our vote) wherever, including pit toilets which don’t want chemicals that wreck microorganisms breaking down the toilet waste. We winter in Latin America and our system works well there as well. Thanks for a great video on a subject that freaks people out too much. PS nice t-shirt. Ours smells the same.
