In 10 years this will be a low budget gaming laptop
Can anyone please advise me what to get! I’m currently a masters student and researcher, got a 2018 MacBook Air almost dead, was going to spring for the new pro however the price seems ridiculous considering it’s the exact same chip as the air and the air model with 16gb ram is still 200$ cheaper than the pro with half the memory and less cores etc. I don’t care whatsoever about display or the dumb gimmicks the put into the pro, I NEED my computer to run multiple research programs (IE Zotero, shitloads of tabs simultaneously, that kind of thing) as well as pretty large documents usually hundreds of pages as well as my notes/my own documents etc. I feel like I should get the air with more memory and the same M3 chip but if anyone can advise I’d be very grateful - also I am going to be a teaching assistant soon and probably do a PHD so the air can still run an hdmi/ project with an adapter right? Just in case I need to run a PowerPoint through it on a smart board that kind of thing, thanks!!!

The Microsoft Surface Pro is becoming thinner, like a tablet with Windows installed, making the iPad less competitive. It’s only a matter of time before the iPad loses its market share. Apple has limited the iPad, turning it into a non-productivity device with overkill performance, which makes consumers feel it is overpriced. However, imagine if this iPad had macOS installed; it would justify its cost by becoming a true productivity device. By the way, my 2018 M1 iPad still works well.

The stabilisation alone makes me want to switch. I'd be encouraged to record more videos when I am out and about. But I'm still on the fence about going fully electronic shutter right now. I doubt it will bother me most of the time, but I know sometimes it might. Once panasonic releases the perfect pancake lens to pair with it, I might just pounce on it

Great video. It's interesting, in most cases I find Galaxy's way overprocessed and unnatural, but most photos you took.. yeah, I can kind of see why the Galaxy would be more pleasing. It's basically just doing the legwork for you, that little extra pop that you'd probably add after anyway. And if you don't like it, you can use the RAW app and edit them afterwards instead.
Excellent to hear your take on this precisely because you're not the a camera reviewer. I have a GM5 and an S5II so this is basically a convergence of those two, along with Fuji's film simulations on turbo. I'm pleased to see that Panasonic has taken on the Sigma fp L's crop-zoom mode -- it should be especially interesting on the next high-resolution camera. BTW, I've seen two grips listed now -- a big one from Sirui (which I'll get) and a smaller one from SmallRig. No doubt JJC and others will get in on the action. I plan to get one along with a Sigma 45mmF2.8, though I had been saving for the new L-mount from Blackmagic so it will probably depend on whichever has a special deal first.

Tell me why should us photographers pick this camera over like, lets say, Nikon Zf and Sony A7C, and EOS RP? None. This is a hot ridiculous stupid product from Lumix. There are so many flaws in this camera it even rivals EOS R100 in terms of questionable decisions made in a single iteration.

@lcy81 yup , still you're gonna do 99% with it. If you are profissional in any way, you won't buy any of these. If you are a normal user, Zve10 will be a better option with less money.

This is crazy we now can get all of these features for less than 2 grand.. but the competition itself is heating up.. often i see the A7IV gets discounted nearly approaching $1700 body only.. that is just very tempting..

I am waiting to hang on to my ole phone just really wanting the fold! :) Kills two birds with one stone there, I really don't think my battery can wait that long though. This display with a glossy screen + usb c would be perfect, I don’t know why LG didn’t offer 2 versions, matte and glossy. The raised blacks on the QD-OLEDs in bright environments just sucks

My drawback for using this for productivity, is the nebula app, there are companies that doesnt allow us to install third party apps for security. I hope theyll be a time that we dont need to install this app, just pure plug and play. or have it on the glasses
