Robyn Wingerter

Robyn Wingerter

I quit drinking alcohol July 24, 2016. I didn't start drinking until I was 46 but I went down that rabbit hole head first. It wasn't long before I was drinking two bottles of wine a day. That was getting too expensive, so I started buying Franzia in the box. Two boxes of wine a week, not including the bottles of wine I drank when I was out with friends.

When my relationship broke up, and I lost my job due to the owner moving the company, my drinking escalated rapidly. I would quit for a couple of days in an attempt to stop drinking and then be right back at it again.

Fast forward to 2016 and now it was a quit or die scenario. I had depression, suicidal ideations, self-loathing, lack of sleep from moderate sleep apnea, stomach pain and was 25 lbs. overweight.

After I quit drinking, I started painting. If you would like to see my artwork and lend support, please click on the links below.

I hope my testimony gives you hope from the alcohol ball and chain.

I haven't posted a video for awhile but plan on posting again soon. Stay vigilant and always know that first drink is the biggest liar EVER! @@RobynWingerter Thank you for your response 😁 i've subscribed and currently watching your other videos. Yes I agree about that "just one drink". I just don't make it an option anymore. I don't believe in moderation for myself, it makes it so much harder. When its simply not an option it's far more managable. It only took from my life and gave me nothing real. I value my health and happiness much more now, I see things more clearly and my decision making is done with such clarity. My circle is much smaller but I cherish the people in it. Feels good doesn't it 🙃

The biggest roadblock to getting and staying sober, is that people put all their focus on "not drinking". They falsely believe that alcohol is the "root problem". It AIN'T! There are exceptions to everything, but for the chronic drinker, the root problem is the inability to live life on life's terms. How do I know this to be true? Because that was ME! The moment I accepted that my BEHAVIOR had to change, was the moment I began to recover. We literally have to change how we move our feet. We have a saying in recovery, "Bring the body and the mind will follow". How does that work, you ask? We take ACTION we don't believe in, and get results we can't explain. When this happens, the iron doors of substance abuse swing open and reveal the opportunity for a "great life" in every sense of the words. I no longer hope and pray for a life of abundance, I have one! The way for me to keep it, is to give it away! All the best...Mark 5/8/1994

Friend. Confronting ourselves honestly is not easy. You've braved that one of several hurdles. Your stellar. Only cooperation with Jesus and his enabling Holy spirit can change circumstances. When it comes to a lifestyle of sin that contradicts his ways. The sin nature needs to be dealt with at the foot of his loving merciful grace and forgiveness. Otherwise it's only temporary. Jesus is your best friend. Jesus values his creation so much he gave himself on the cross in agonizing torture pain and love to accomplish supernatural freedom for humanity. He came to set the captive free. ❤
