Mountains, Mullets, Merica!

Long range shooting and firearm enthusiast. Hoping to combine my passion for firearms with my love of long range shooting in a youtube channel like no other. I plan to use the channel to cover a wide variety of firearm content, from gun and gear reviews to instructional and how to videos. I appreciate all of the support! Stay tuned as we grow this into a unique and entertaining channel!

A little about me.... I am a long time civilian shooter with many years of long range experience. I spent many years shooting long range on the east coast where I participated in many local and national level PRS style matches. Now that I have relocated out west I have been able to take my long range game to the next level and truly fine tune my precision rifle skills. It's this experience and passion that I have to pass along to each viewer!

Could the large volume of that MK-11 suppressor be impacting bullet flight due to similar causes of first round pop? I'd really like to hear what you find out on that one.

For the amount of powder the Norma burns you just can’t go wrong with the 300 prc. I wanted a 338 Norma but after looking at the 300 prc, for reloading it just makes more sense. Sure the Norma can reach just a little further but for more recoil and when you are shooting a lot or even for accuracy the recoil plays a big part. Prc for the win just because it cost less overall.

It's not that a short barrel can't do it I mean once you know the numbers it's math to reach out there. Many videos on KZread here show 22lr hitting at 800 yards consistently and sagebrush Longshots show 45 colt hitting at 400 600 and even 1000 yards with open sights. Others show 4000 to 5000 yard shots I'm not saying it doesn't take skill to do but cartridges are more than capable of reaching much further than we think. 7mm rem mag if placed at its highest angle of travel has the potential to reach 7 miles out.

With a similar MWS my friend had we found similar performance. However we saw massive improvement with off the shelf 175gr Federal Gold Medal Match. I would love to see the performance of your rifle with a similar load with the 175gr Sierra matchking!

Me over here thinking I have to dump a crap ton of ammo at the range just to zero my rifle. But this video has shown me that I can reliably bore sight my rifle inside my house and then fine tune it to zero with only a handful of bullets at the range!! Hell yeah!! Seeing the real world results of each zero at each range really makes me want to try running the 25 yard zero. I can get tight groupings through the distance that most engagements would take place, but it also allows me to push out to distance if the need arises. This has been one of the most helpful videos I have come across in a while. Most videos just give you the theory portion of ballistics but don't actually go through the process of showing each and every one in real world performance. Thank you for this video!! This is the first of your videos I have ever seen and I just subscribed to your channel because of it!!

Full moon and mostly clear skies is beyond easy mode for night vision devices. What effective range can you get with half moon and clouds? Or are you relying on active IR illunination? Why would someone want intensifier tube optics over thermal?

This video is exceptionally „knowledge dense“! I watched it for the third time since you released it. Thank you for your effort going into videos like this. Do you think with a 20“ or even 24“ barrel and slightly more velocity to start with, the results would be noticably diffrent? Would be neat having a battle zero going effectively up to 450yds. Cheers to you from Switzerland.

I think of 300 like its 762x39 because the powers similar the performance is similar the ballistics are almost identicle and theyre shoot bullets of roughly the same weight at roughly the same speed and the drop in speed in correlation to the shorter the barrel you have as well as the max length of the barrel to top out performance is the same. So like the best length is 12.5 to 13inchs. Your drooping about 150fps from a 16inch barrel which is where speed and power tops out but its like 600fps faster than something out a 8.5inch or shorter batrel so like just treat it likes it 762x39. Its definetly capable of good shots at a distance with supersonics. You can use a 13in 300aac just as far and as you could a 12.5in 762 ak in fact the 300aac ar platforms have a potential accuracy advantage so sometimes its the better round. The 300s doing like 1400frlb out a 13inch barrel but a 762 12.5 aks doing like 1600ftlb with the proper anmo so if you want that little bit more power its worth using 762x39 instead. Or if your rich ans have access to exotic ammunition 762x39 has explosive armor piercing incindiary ammunition where 300 does not lol

Great video. You should consider doing a series with current/past M110 options. Id like to see an old Armalite M110 super SASS (with gen2 “B”M14 mags) and how that stacks up to a Knight’s or say this LMT? The Armalite went against the KAC SR25 M110 during the trials and we all know the writing was already on the wall for the Knights but was it the right decision? 🤔

He's shown everything from affordable Arken optics and Faxon barrels to the fanciest Nightforce scopes and Barrett rifles that money can buy. And had a great, humble attitude whether he was using the cheap stuff or the expensive stuff. Rock on.

You have easily one of the best long range/ precision shooting KZread channels out there! I used to do a bit of a long range up to a thousand yards but have run into some health issues. I had to sell off most of my rifles except for My Daniel Defense M4A1, Cz 457 AT ONE and my EDC. I have a vortex Razor HD 3x18 on my cz457. Reason I bring it up is financially. Things have gotten difficult where I get sick, watching your videos semi replaces being able to shoot out of distance with higher caliber rifles that I had to sell. Definitely have learned a few things watching you shoot! The furthest I've taken my cz457 is roughly 440 yards, still fine but not the same. Keep up the good work dude!! Merica 🇺🇲🙏🏻👍🏻

I am verry new to Shooting and trying to learn as much as I can. I bought a mid-range price AR 15 and I have a Romeo 7 Dot on it. My Question is with a scope that has a BDC reticle I understand where to hold to compensate for bullet drop. But how do you know where to hold a Red Dot for Drop? 500 yards and hit it 4 times with a Dot is insane to me better yet had those been people you would have still hit them in the lower half of their body. WOW.
