7:50 this scene is a really good example of how weird his writing is. It gives the affect of awkward silence but he’s actually talking.

I think this video is a bit presumptuous about a few issues. Like, we don't know enough about Karen to really say what her issues are- it's possible that there's also some territory Gordon really shouldn't be interfering with either- Training staff or fixing potential deeper psychological issues, for example. You keep going back to him not doing enough for the hotel but like, what *can* he do beyond try and knock some sense into these people? How much is he obligated to do? Maybe certain issues are things the staff need to deal with, without Gordon. Not to mention cleaning up the place and renovating the way it looks is a big deal- it was very claustrophobic and messy before, his changes probably make the staff more comfortable even just *being* there. Also, I think he had good reason for the dirt scan. I get maybe it's a little nitpicky digging into the rugs and stuff but like, at the same time, many people are sensitive to those kinds of things- it shouldn't be easy to scrape dirt and grime off of those places so easily. He wasn't just trying to demonstrate "The rugs are the problem either", he was just trying to hammer in a point about a lack of cleanliness. Something he'd, again, fix later in the episode.

She calls it "Grandmother's House" and o actually love that for a B&B place. Could lean into the fairy tale thing or just have it be a normal, homey place

I actually played Whiteout Survival for a while and spent money on it lmao you have like daily tasks and events and just doing all my lil daily tasks gave my brain so much dopamine. It is nothing like the ads for some reason. It’s not even a bad game like idk why they don’t just use game footage. Before I stopped playing they added a customizable island.

This horrific fable has justified men's subjugation and devaluation of women to this day. It is not just misogynistic, it's unbearably cruel.

One of the most disgusting reality shows ever. Like Andy said they could've made a constructive show out if this and instead made it cheap and demeaning. And don't forget that Povich started out on the execrable tabloid show Inside Edition. I'm sure his family will be proud of his legacy.

As someone that struggles with the state of organized religion, I am still a believer in Christ. In my observation, there are many people in the world, making a name for themselves using Jesus. It’s gross. However, there are number of times in my life where I have cried out to Jesus and received healing, peace and joy. My experience with healing has rarely been inside a church. It has more often been in moments when I was alone and in great need. Example: I injured my back. I couldn’t work. I was in miserable pain all of the time. And addicted to pain medication prescribed to me by drs. 5 years into my injury, I had a moment on my front stoop. An idea popped into my mind, “if you will give me the pills, I will heal your back”. Understand, I believe this was Jesus/God, but I have no proof. Except, I agreed to give up pain medicine. And since then I have not had any symptoms or pain related to my injury. This was in 2012.

It's a shame that they went the corporate approach instead of trying to go at the pirate theme from a more successful angle. It would've been more interesting and more creative if they tried to play up to the potential a pirate theme bar might have. It also would show more skill to come up with something different from the tried and true model that still proves successful. But nah. Gotta make the same ordinary bar with a different coat of paint.

They shouldn't have the 3-piece chicken fingers with fries printed out from a Microsoft Word document. They should have LAMINATED menu printouts from a Microsoft Word document. Laminated menues are A LOT easier to clean off alcohol, soda, wing sauces, etc from them. They're reusable. Oh and they need to have pictures in case the people are too drunk to read words or speak.

I like to imagine that the couple was in denial about their drinking problem, but the chaos of the night honestly made them realize just how bad it was. Like "Oh a horse came in, and shit in my bar, and I met a reality tv star, and I don't remember any of that," I think it was just providence that made them realize "Yeah he's right I have a drinking problem" because I'm sure the daughter had been saying this for a long time and I bet they just brushed it off like "Honey, it's a bar it's a part of the atmosphere, everybody havin' a good time," but realizing they got so black out drunk they were on television black out drunk after a horse shit in their bar without them noticing or cleaning it up. Probably put it into perspective for them
