Calm with Kyle

Hi Everyone, I am a Registered Psychologist and a Trauma Specialist. I am also an Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA) Approved Consultant and an EMDR Coach. I specialize in trauma therapy, from both childhood, adulthood, present-day and occupational trauma.

Being in practice since 2014, I've seen so much struggling related to trauma, anxiety, depression and mental health. I've learned and am still learning, so much that have helped those that I've been fortunate enough to journey with.

It is my goal is to provide high-quality, educational and informational resources for trauma, mental well-being, anxiety and depression. ALSO, to provide this information in understandable language rather than in confusing clinical words.

Thank you for tuning in and I hope you enjoy!

Thank you for this. I was having an anxiety attack and this helped me be a little more present in the moment instead of in my head. Not completely rid of the anxiety but it still helped a lot. Thank you.

Kyle. Idid what you said my left part of face and ear were OK but when I started to massage my right ear, I felt shooting pain under m eye and the same when I massaged under my eye. The pain started from under my eye and extended to back to ear and my upper teeth. It took some minutes to disappear. What was it.

That's not the whole of it, Kyle. I have adrenal burnout, which is a serious condition...also known as HPA axis dysfunction. People get better, but not fully recover.

Thank you for sharing this with us. My super-awesome and amazing therapist recommended I check your channel out. I'm so glad and grateful she did. This is the first meditation I'm able to complete with out getting angsty or uncomfortable. You've done an amazing job at leading it with kindness, compassion and understanding. It may sound silly but "giving" myelf permission to move my body or reposition while mediating relieved so much tension around the whole exercise ♡ THANK YOU. I can not express it enough. I plan on consuming the rest of your content! ❤

My wife sent this to me. I lost 1/2 my voice from surgery they say from damaging the Vagus nerve. I wish I could sing or hum but that doesn't work with me. I have been doing acupuncture and medical massage with little change. Any advice on a voice loss via Vagus nerve? I will try what I have heard on this. Thanks.

Profound gratitude to you, Kyle..for this Excellent meditation. For the past few months i was beginning to notice troubling breathing complications slowly cropping up on me daily...stemming from having..survived severe trauma for 60+ years...and, despite as good as i seemed to have survived it.. it was apparently catching up to me. In Nightmares, of all things....but if we can't sleep..we die. Nothing was helping these last few months. A quiet panic apparently set in when i was told i had to rehash it all to 'get rid' of it...going against my instinctive feelings..i personally don't believe we have to relive everything to put it into perspective..we just need to acknowledge it Was but is No More, & learn how to put it to rest & move forward. Of course i could be wrong..but i can't see how we can just 'get rid' of something so big it wrecks our lives..the brain stores Everything.....thus, imho, we need to learn how to File this system...and Your breathing meditation is The Only one, out of hundreds i have tried, that Worked! Soon as the meditation was over...the first thing i realized was..i was breathing Deeply & Naturally without trying to...for the First time...in all of my memory.. With the increasing difficulty in breathing, came an invisible fear...cos not being able to breathe..is kinda a big deal.. This meditation you gave us Worked...& now the path through creating the necessary Filing system is Clear & unobstructed. Let the Healing Filing Begin! Bless You & Yours, Kyle. & Much Love atcha!
