Cities Skylines 2 and Cities Skylines 1 content - Welcome to the channel and my wonderful corner of KZread! I build anything in Cities: Skylines that I find interesting and have done American, European, and recently Japanese-themed stuff! A big component of my content is the involvement of viewers and subscribers in the process - Which is why you will always find plenty of discussions and voting going on - which directly impacts the future of the cities being built here!
I always strive to create a realistic look. However, I try to balance my play style so that there is an emphasis on both the bigger picture as well as detailing.
Hope you enjoy my content!

I feel like you should rename either bedford downs or bedford since they have the same name to Sunglow Ridge after the usually sunny ridge
Clean coal? Ah, you mean uranium! Yes, nuclear power plant near a major river is a great idea that limits the need for costly cooling towers
What a happy surpise to get another video just 2 days after the last one
SO Happy to have fixed our zoning bug and being able to really grow Riverview again! So, what are we calling this historic new neighbourhood in East Riverview? And are you guys ready for SOME CLEAN COAL, THE BEST COAL? I love you all!
Omg, just about half an hour ago I started watching an episode of Coniferia thinking "it would be nice if I had a new Infra video to watch instead :/". Thank you for hearing my pleas 😔
hi!
GG 🔥
Loving the series!
300,667th !
First comment. Big fan of you man ❤
Great to see more Riverview
This is so cool! Do you ever load your savemaps on Paradox Mods?
What a relief <3 amazing episode. Banger song. in the end! I could watch this for hours
Plot twist: The city sells the empty plot to Charlie Croker and gives him a huge tax break so he can build an exclusive luxury high-rise with zero affordable housing. Investigators suspect graft but find nothing!
If you want something new to add to the city, how about a golf course, maybe out the back of Mill Springs? They complain a lot about not being entertained after all!
Upgrade the overcrowded bus lines with trams. Realistic choice for a city that size. Also, you could make the trams run on assigned places that don't get them stuck in traffic
If the building is not assigned a zone does it decay?
Should not be moving bus stops, you have too many few stops you need to add more and shorten the distance so the citizens have more options
Downtown city park swimming pool for the townies.
@25:00 I play 100% vanilla, and I've seen homeless people actually living in homes. What I've observed in some low density homes (hard to look at medium and high density). Seniors (especially) with one or more children have a hard time affording rent. As the game progresses (if the children are too young to go to work), the senior will become "homeless" but the home will continue being recorded as the address of record. Then, the senior will anticipate leaving the city. When they do leave the city, the home is repopulated with a larger family. I'm only seeing this rarely, so I'm not sure to what extent this mechanic affects overall population numbers.
I think it’s time for better/faster/higher capacity transportation than buses…. The queue at some of your stops is unbelievable 😂
2:26 I guess it was the weather
For a truly American city experience you should build a massive 7 lane stroad with commercial on both sides.
That inner city plot of land is the ideal footprint for your cities tallest building. I don’t know what it could be but some super office or focal point.
Makes an episode about bulldozing a neighborhood. Ends the episode by saying "I don't understand why my population is declining?" LOL 😂😂😂
all these people waiting at the bus stops have me screaming at you to build rail
Man not that it'll happen. But would be very cool if you could set-up express lines that only run during high traffic times.
On this map you have really nice hills - build wind farm there it will generate you a lot electricity. I suggest few turbines + transformer to transfer it into grid.
i think the empty lot should be occupied by a retired bus depot which has been closed down due to the construction of a new transportation hub next to the train station.
For the publicly owend plot I would suggest a modern skyscraper project with a restaurant underneath. Also, could you post Riverview every episode save to paradox mods? Thanks ❤
Petition for Nuclear Power plant here! Sign by like ❤ Citezens need affordable and green energy!
Also a bus line between east riverview and the area that has all the people waiting on the new line
Id do a second stop at the hub, even if it takes an interesting route in and out
Maybe use that empty plot for a specialised taxi/rideshare pick up place/ hub.
You have space for a little University next to the Hospital. The small Bildings like a Bibliothek is so awesome betwen the skyscrapers like 5th Avne NewYork.
How about increasing the capacity of the 6E line with upgrading it to a tram? Also maybe you could make a 8E line, wich only serves the overcrowded stations of the RTA 7? Another way would be, like I mentioned before: asign some different bus-types to the lines with more capacity
28:05 love how there are a few 1-2yo who are working or studying at a university. Talk about early bloomers
I know you don't like building them, but I think a city this large needs more rail infrastructure, particularly a metro. Boston has a few metro lines, and I think it would be a good addition to this build. I also think the empty lot would make a great space for either a public square, or a downtown baseball stadium. The city is large enough to have pro teams!
There are some spots where I think the current layout of the RTA 7 line doesn't make a ton of sense. 1. People going to the airport would not ride the line to the very end, because they can simply get off at the Southend stop opposite of the trainstation and take the pedestrian bridge instead of staying on the bus for another 2 or 3 stops. 2. It seems very awkward that the line doesn't stop at the Transit Hub coming from New Chelsea, which would otherwise add a ton of new connections. Maybe the Transit Hub needs to be slightly modified to add a connection coming from the bridge though. 3. The elementary school in Willow Downs is spaced right between two stops, it would be nice for those children if it was directly served by the line. Also this line ought to be rapid transit, this bus is going to take forever. But it's 'Murica, so probably that's quite realistic.
If possible build a modern stadium next to the medical Centre
I think you should lay some metro, also you have some traffic
Instead of using long bus lines try change it to metro lines.

With the demand for more single housing units, it is time to conquer the hills! Regarding transit, look at the busiest sections of your buslines and perhaps tramify them. And very maybe consider building a metro line, mostly above ground and only underground in the city center :)
Can u upload the map?
Can you not change the busses themselves to something higher capacity? It shows you can change the models.
nice city ,nice design👍👍👍👍👍
You need to create a mega college, university, and a specialized university campus
don't you think it's time for some luxurious house. like spaced houses on the mountain edge
I love these videos so much, this is my favorite CS2 series at the moment and I can't wait to see more. I have an idea for your transit routes too. Whenever I design transit routes, I try not to make them all too long because sometimes the stops fill up too soon with people all trying to get to different places. To avoid this I usually make a shorter route that covers 1-3 close districts, and a longer route to connect all the short one with a much further away district. For example if district A, B, and C are major residential districts that share a commercial hub, I'll create a route or two that link the higher density areas in those districts with the commercial hub (as well as nearby parks and workplaces). Then I'll have a longer route that only serves to pick people up from these hubs (making sure it doesn't go into mostly residential areas) and connect them with an ideally larger or more important hub in a further away district. I like to split the routes into three categories too. Buses (these have the most frequent stops) for more local movements within and between neighboring districts. Trams for districts/towns further away from each other (these can have less frequent stops) and rail for different cities. It's harder to do when you've built your city up to this level but it makes wait times significantly better because there's a kind of transit hierarchy at play for specific needs. When you next update your transit lines, it might help to try and use this approach, that way your routes better serve the needs of different communities. This might also end up influencing how you choose to zone specific areas, I know once I started doing this I was zoning while keeping in mind how I would like people to move around and how I would like transit to work in new areas I developed.
