    One thing that might help people get confidence going over the coping is climbing kerbs (without an ollie) its the same principle but over something much bigger, and its surprisingly easy, I can do it comfortably going fast without even touching the nose, the weight shift will carry you over.

    Great point! I teach this as well, especially with a parking stopper on the top of a bank. Unfortunately I’ve heard parking stoppers are mainly only in usa. 💙🛹💙

    Thanks for this video! So insightful. I just learned rock fakie a few days ago. Fakie Rock and Tail Stall are next on my list. Straightening out the back leg for the tail stall will be a game changer. I haven’t been able to commit to one yet, but that tip is very encouraging.

    What a lil champ I read about his inital slam and i wanna say always get back on your board immediately after a non serious slam. It works wonders for your (not confidence but i can't think of the exact right word) but you just forget about the slam and don't even fret.

    Start with only 10% power or less and land it. work your way up by increasing power until you start to bail. Stay around that range to build trust and consistency, then add more power as you get more comfortable. 💙🛹💙

    Please can we get a new air craft racing game for Xbox series X/s, seriously air craft racing is like a car racing game but it includes up and down and even sharp sideways turns ECT and there are actually no choices for aerial racing on Xbox at all, but there is air to air combat but absolutely no aircraft racing, it's seriously ridiculous except for one game that has recently conquered the air racing scene on Xbox and that's rocket suit ECT and aerial racing on "riders republic" and I think that the air craft racing is soo good there needs to be a super intense like Mario cart looking like rocket league racing kind of aircraft racing game with speed boosters and jewel collection xp gems everywhere through technicolor super Lazer light space odyssey light show terrain that is at least 50gb big that's all air craft/space and rocket ship racing through intense light show terrain and obstacles with new graphics and a full long campaign because it's just very good to enjoy a game like that and for some reason there's no games like that usually on Xbox in the modern age and I really hope there is a good game released some day soon that's primarily aircraft and rocket ship racing in full technicolor intensity! Please.

    One question, my dad used to skate as a teen but after he got fat and 40 no matter what he does he can't get pop. His tail never hits before the nose rises. He scoops air instead of popping. Why is that?

  • @SkateParkLessons
    @SkateParkLessons9 күн бұрын

    Good question, Imagine you were learning to ollie wearing a backpack of 40lbs, Unless you build extra muscle and strength in your legs to compensate for that weight, it will probably make it harder to jump and maintain stamina. 🛹💪🏽🛹

    JB thank you so much! For me the bit I needed most out of the video was at 4:51, where you keep your weight back a bit whilst you place the deck onto the coping, then rock your weight forward. using this method I got consistent at rock-in. then 10 mins later... surprised myself by doing my first spine transfer!

    My ollies are okay, but i turn 45 degrees backside every time. I noticed this student was doing that while on the fence, what are some of the reasons this happens? Keeping my shoulders square doesnt seem to help.

  • @SkateParkLessons
    @SkateParkLessons7 күн бұрын

    Many times it helps people to not try to ollie so hard, many people spin their chest or hips forward when they pop. Start with 50% power in your Ollie’s and see that it cleans them up, it will hopefully help you break that habit. All the best and keep skating 💙🛹💙
