Probably that in reality you’re only really dropping about a foot into the transition if you slow it down. If you can think about that and not how deep the bowl is you got it licked

JB is such a thoughtful teacher. You can see how he understands and relates to the fear associated with progression, but enables learners to transition through the fear and gain confidence through learning. This is the best video yet and really shows the side to skating that limits progress. Excellent coach and good guy. What a privilege to have him as a coach.

@@Gruntcakes69 My dude I'm in the same boat. My brain messes with me all the time. At our older age getting injured is no joke. You got copays, deductibles, physical therapy depending on how bad the injury is. Best thing though is Flex money can be used on Old Bones Therapy gear. I used Coach JB's discount code there and was able to get flex money reimbursement for all the knee braces etc.

kid is an absolute shredder !!

Calling out that you are going to roll in is a good tip. You really cannot tell just by looking at someone who knows how to roll in or doesn't. sometimes I get sketched out when I see people skating by the bowl bc I don't know if they're about to roll in on me. Saturday i am going early to the park to try to learn how to roll in on larger transition. Good vid

First time I dropped in on a halfpipe it was a 6' and I was 14 years old. I leaned forward and went for it, nailed it, got my wheels up over the edge on the other side, then rolled back in fakie ALL MESSED UP. My stomach fell right on my elbow and I knocked the wind out of myself worse than I think I've EVER done since. I laid in the middle of the pipe writhing in pain, trying to catch my breath while all the other kids rode past me, yelling at me to get out of the way. Now I'm 33 and SLOWLY teaching myself the right way to drop in by starting on TINY 1' bowls at the skatepark and working my way up.

This is my life help. Thank you my man. I am rebuilding my life from scratch and there's some MAJOR sketchy stuff I'm facing. I just started skating a year ago and it is an ABSOLUTE GOD SEND of an activity. Finding this channel is another God send. I had been going every day to just figure stuff out and I have been plateauing, not figuring out the next challenges past pumping. Skateboarding is teaching me how to be grounded and humble -- there's no way for me to figure this out by myself and being able to find a teacher like this on youtube is giving me more faith in humanity, that there are good people out there who DO want me to succeed and will give what they can to help me out. I love this! Thank you!
