It always amazes me how providing ID solves all the cops problems. The law says you don't need to ID. Surely the police should be taught that!
Each of these interactions with law enforcement who are unable to understand or explain the laws they are employed to enforce, but think that copsplaining and intimidation will cover their ignorance of the law, further destroys what little trust and respect is left for law enforcement. In this incident both these Sgts where an embarrassment to the uniform, but probably too dumb to know it.

since police stations and their parking lots are owned by we the people you can lawfully walk on to them imo. Which means it isn't private property so "no trespassing" sign would be Unconstitutional would it not? Since we have the right to travel freely.
The auditor was in the right. He stood his ground. The officer approached him in an intimidating manner. The auditor took control of the situation and won.

I’m wondering why the cop hasn’t already checked with the complainant to see if they have any proof that the cameraman was in fact on their wall.
Palmer needs retrained for sure. And the cops should have arrested or fined the caller who filed a false report. Cops need to stop false reporting by fining individuals or the abuse will never stop. And their copspeak of miscommunication is crap! All incoming calls to police are recorded.
