    This might be a stupid question but I’m new 😅 When using soap calc to formulate recipes, I suppose I put 50/50 in the lye to water ratio box?

    Hello About the 50/50 solution Does the solution get warmed up before starting or does the 2nd ratio of water or liquid activate the 50/50 solution?

    I’m so excited to hear about this organization for extra soap! I’m curious though, I’m already deducting the ingredients to make the soap so wouldn’t that be double deducting if I got another write off when I donated? Maybe I’m thinking about it wrong! Either way will donate for sure:)

  • @TheSoapGal
    @TheSoapGal9 күн бұрын

    You are correct, that would be double deducting if you are already write off the cost of materials so you would have to choose to do one or the other.

    I'm so excited for you! Had this dream of making sure everything raw materials to end product is truly fair trade, ethically sourced verified- because how we treat others for those profits matters always has. Making sure on a planet we share none of us own we have clean water supplies, air and soil with quality of life to glorify God...been a tough journey in faith to say the least. Was happy you have this time with your mom. The ability to offer others a place to belong and I hope you are a kind, understanding employer as those are rare. Just wanted to drop a comment to say thanks for your insights and inspiring. Really appreciate you pointing out how lovely collaboration is. Royalty Soaps is exactly how I learned about you and love that type of attitude. Context matters with consent. God bless you 🙏

    Thank you for the explanation. As a small soap maker, I make small batches of artisan soap to help support my family. I have custody of my two grandchildren. I always hope every batch that I make, makes someone smile when they see and smell it. So far, no two batches have been the same. I think hard about what I want each batch to have in it and what it looks like. Every soap maker be it small or large has a passion behind them. Also, the love that you spoke of. Thank you for sharing your videos.

    So new soap maker here so how long after I finish a batch of soap do I have to wait before I can start the research and development and testing out my soul to see how good it is and to see what I need to fix etc. etc.

    If you're using the 50/50 lye solution your soap is safe to cut and R&D in 48 hours! If you're ever unsure you can drop some PH drops on it to ensure the lye has fully cured.
