Why did I just tear up??? T_T I've been making soaps for over a year. I relate to the artisanal aspect of soap making. Every soap is truly handmade with love and every batch can take a lot of time. I don't even have intricate designs but it still takes awhile. :D My customers usually buy my soaps for gifts. But I also want them to experience it themselves. So next year, I will be introducing more "every day" soap bars. Thank you for this video, Joanna! You are so inspiring. @RoyaltySoaps actually inspired me to start soap making. Thank you for the explanation. As a small soap maker, I make small batches of artisan soap to help support my family. I have custody of my two grandchildren. I always hope every batch that I make, makes someone smile when they see and smell it. So far, no two batches have been the same. I think hard about what I want each batch to have in it and what it looks like. Every soap maker be it small or large has a passion behind them. Also, the love that you spoke of. Thank you for sharing your videos.

I have just finished today’s batch of artsy soap for Christmas presents. I haven’t touched these in so long it took me a while to get going. I almost gave up. I said a little prayer, listened to some beautiful hymns and got started. I also make soap for my family to use everyday and you just helped me get that extra ooomph to continue with the creativity instead of just giving them simple everyday use soap. Thank you for your beautiful emotional talk about the differences. I don’t have anyone in my circle who do soap and it is nice to find a community of soapers to get inspiration and tips from.

I am so grateful for this video. I keep being told that daily use bars aren't profitable. I don't want to concentrate on the detailed work. My art outlet is in a different medium but i want to make a great daily bar. Thanks for the pep talk. Love comes in different forms. Don't discount your work because its not like a fancy Soap. Love went into both bars and people love both kinds.

It's really about volume for daily use! The more materials you can buy at a time, the cheaper the cost of goods & the better the profit margins! And absolutely! There's a place for everyone in the soap making world

Thank you for this video. Katie was my inspiration when I dived into the world of soap making. We have more restrictions here in the uk, but it was the creativity that I fell in love with. But, I’ve never considered before that the soap I’m making isn’t daily use…but an expression of my creativity and passion. This message will definitely help me with my messaging and stop me worrying about whether my pricing is on point. I’ve been hesitant to increase my prices thinking people won’t pay that price for my soap…but when I think of my soap as a gift of love and not necessarily for daily use then suddenly I realise I should be charging for my labour. Thank you 🙏🏻💕

I prefere your daily soap.I learnt to make soap from Soap Queen.That is really from where milions started.

You have to use this soap bar. To love an artisan soap, to properly embrace what this bar means, you have to use it. Storing it forever is not what good soap is all about. Enjoy the soap. The fact it will disappear when you use it is part of its charm, because nothing lasts forever, especially hand made soap

I understand and agree for most bars, but this bar of white mystery soap is equal to a KZread subscriber play button to me. When ever I need encouragement and my “why” I started my channel I look at this bar and I am refocused.
