I've always been so impressed that you are able to do white label and still be profitable! We focus on retail and wholesale and our wholesale has grown a ton in the last two years, but the profits are quite slim there. I guess the answer is to make more soap and buy in bulk on a huge scale. I'd love to hear more about what scale you had to be at to feel like the profits were worthwhile. I can't believe we started the same year and here you are with a HUGE business! You are such an inspiration to us. Can't wait to see more videos from you!

The COGS are everything! We are always saving money on bulk materials as much as we can. I'll do a follow up video about pricing and profit!

Yes! I believe so!

As a customer, I definitely feel more comfortable buying soap that was made by someone who focuses on making soap full time vs someone who just does it as a side part of their business. The knowledge and experience that you bring to your product simply can’t be matched by someone whose focus is divided into several different product categories, so the end product that you provide is of significantly better quality.

I've always understood that wholesale (and I'm thinking "white label" also) is a function of quantity, to make a profit. As still such a small business making small quantities, I can't afford to sell wholesale. Funny that people not in a home business don't get it - always suggesting I get another store to sell my soaps. But... having said that, I'm real curioius about what white labeling is and how the puzzle pieces fit together - particularly the name "white label". How DO you package it? What label do you need to produce for yours? Thanks so very much Joanna! You are my - and so so many others' - inspiration.... and teacher.... and encourager! FYI - my opportunities for trade shows and craft fairs are very slim where I am here in Israel. Some outdoor markets for sure - but not the trade shows. I miss the US "scene"!

Great questions! Ah all the way from Israel!! God bless you friend!! Typically the client will supply their own packaging and we will package it for them. We don't have any info on their packaging about us so remain undisclosed.

Am loving your videos and sharing of knowledge. Much needed in this industry. I too would like to know more about the profitability of white labeling. If the cost of the bars are low how are you able to make a profit after paying for cogs, overhead, employees & sales reps?

Hi Joanna! Which software do you use for order processing and to keep an overview of your production capacity and stock of raw materials? You always used Soapmaker in the past, but I can imagine that it doesn't contain everything. We are now looking at MRPeasy, do you also use it? Thanks!

We are looking at ERP systems now, I am deciding between Deacom and Shoptech. I will look into yours. I have been using excel sheets, soapmaker3 and google sheets. It is time for a ERP system.

Were you able to find out what happend to the video that was taken down. I feel like iv missed an episode.

Someone filed a copyright complaint against our thumbnail. Unfortunately, KZread does not have good protections for people who are innocent in matters like this and our video has been taken down unjustly and we are unable to get in touch with the parties involved to get the video reinstated. We are very sad about this and will likely make a different video in the future.

I will never sell any soap or other product that does not have my label on it.
