I’m 57 and when I make soap it’s really relaxing to me. I want to make a business of it but not getting that much support from my husband. I’m told you know you’re probably not gonna make any money with it. I’m glad I found your channel. You’re very inspiring and very passionate. Thank you for caring.

So wonderful you do something that you enjoy! Business is never a sure thing. But if you do it as a hobby business and make X bars a month with plans to sell through at markets and fairs every few months it's really sustainable and you can make a decent return for some side income! Like anything it will take work, but if you enjoy it and do it already as a hobby and you have the time to invest in it - why not try? That's the way I see it. The worst that could happen is it just goes back to a hobby.

@natilynmorris55 You will and you can make money with your soaps. Even if your husband doesn’t support you, I support. That breaks my heart that your husband doesn’t support you in this. I’m sure you make amazing soap and a lot of people will love to buy them. So get going….you got this! And I’ll do the same. We got this! ;)

As I am at the age of retirement, I don't want to do what you do, but your tips on scaling are priceless. I just want my retirement, in 3-5 years, which is when I hope my business will grow enough to support me in addition to SS and 401k. My very first loaf of soap was made with WSP's 1501 silicone mold which made 6 bars and I was so nervous it took me 6 hours to prep, make and clean up. It was a total flop. It made the skin on my hands so tight I thought they would split open. 😂 Six years later it's still a hobby but I've just moved into a new workshop my husband built for me and just made a large soap made in a new slab mold. I have a full time job and do this on the side and it totally works for me. Your videos have been so helpful in seeing the path to growing as much or as little as we would like to go. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and processes with us. So very much appreciated!! 💞
