we owe a huge debt to Anna Maria Louisa de Medici for bequeathing the Medici's and the Renaissance's treasures to Florence and the world so that it is intact and where we can see it all in one place.

3:40 I can't tell which I'm more shocked by. You implying that Sun Wukong has a sexuality (a thing I advocate that most people forget or deny) or that you think Bajie's not over Chang'e after so many hundreds or thousands of years and after being reincarnated and getting married to someone else (but who knows, maybe he isn't?).

Why am I not seeing a SINGLE comment about the Witcher? Like not even a slight off hand reference to the 3rd game literally titled ‘The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt’, which is definitely based around this myth.

Geez, the 2022 remake forgot about putting in both an entire CHARACTER (Himmelstoß) and an important plotpoint (Paul going home on leave) in from the original novel.

Something that was sort of quickly glanced over but shouldn't be forgotten: Athenian democracy only applied to ADULT MEN. This meant that it did NOT serve the entire population, as women had virtually no political power within the system. It was a marvelous invention and something that went on to define history, but stating that it gave everyone a fair say in the development of the nation is just incorrect.

One of my favorite things I discovered on tumblr was someone came up with the idea that the monster did take the name Adam and built a family of his own made up of similarly scary... creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky individuals... They were Adam's family *finger snaps twice* (Also implied Lurch was the monster)

Saying Alien is less scary when the Xenomorph is shown is a wild take. I don't think a single soul that went into that movie WITHOUT seeing the Xenomorph beforehand would ever agree with that take.

I just realized that Zelda Twilight Princess actually has a lot of resemblance to SOTC aesthetically, they both have dirt n stone ruins, riding on horseback, runic symbols everywhere, great music, bloom effects. I don't think TP has the camera stuff, though. or half-flesh-half-stone colossi.

i like how recently we've been getting more deal brokers as major characters instead of abstract background entities. Your Bill Ciphers, your Alastors. It's really fun to see what's going on from their POV as an influential character. And when the true motivation is a mystery, it's intriguing to see what this manipulative demon's aim is. i hope we get more of them as things move forward

Batman is a curse, because even Batman said so in a episode of Young Justice. When they talked about Shazam/Captain Marvel being part of the League even though he's 10, Batman stuck up for him. Wonder Woman then turned on Batman when he admitted he knew about Billy's age before the League. She commenting on "I'm not surprised since you indoctrinated Robin at a young age". I loved Batman's comment about how Robin needed that closure, that ability to get justice for the man who killed his parents. Wonder Woman snapped back, "So he could be just like you?!" Batman's reply was priceless, "So that he wouldn't." Right there he already admits that he's never going to give up the mantle and that it is a curse because unlike his ward, Robin, he'll never get that closure. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
