I'm guessing this was filmed 1974 or later as the TR7 was released in September 1974

Park Street, with George's ,the only bookstore in Town. We hiked up there to buy my first very own book when I could read. No coloured cartoons then. I chose a small book about bees so I could learn about the hives next door.

Hi great video I'd guess at this being filmed in 77 or 78 , it featured a face lifted morris marina with all aluminium grill released in 76 , and there's a off white scirocco parked up on street corner with its back facing the camera, and the ultra modern looking TR7, as the film ends , brought back great memories 😀.

My 13' speedboat dates from this era. It had already had its day and was gathering weeds in the corner of a boat boneyard when I found it in 2003. Totally refurbished (hull repairs, new bulkheads, screen, seats, carpet, transom, electrics, bilge pump, and old 2-stroke Yamaha 40 replaced with 4-stroke Merc 40) and she is enjoying a second incarnation (or third or fourth, who knows!) In a bay full of today's latest latest RIBs and sports boats, she turns heads and certainly holds her own. A well made Deep V coupled with the appropriate power plant is a timeless recipe!

Correct me if I'm wrong but we had a Bell & Howell Super 8 camera in the 60s and 70s and it had no audio capabilities...just visual. I think the music was a very nice addition to classic film. Reminds me of an early Bruce Brown production. Well done 👍

@@paulcallen6129 Ahh, that would make a difference. I watched several boat videos with different kinds of music added and some I don't like. I think most of those, being obviously more recent, would have been better with the original sound's. Makes you feel more like you're there enjoying the experience. I love the old boats and motors though.

Funny how with today's sensibilities the music does not match the film footage at all. This would be used in an anti-zoo campaign these days and it is certainly awful and heart-breaking to see the small bare cages devoid of any enrichment that many animals were imprisoned in back then and the stereotypical pacing backwards and forwards of what looked like a wolf. Even when I worked there in the 1970s and didn't think it was that bad, it was nothing like it is today. Now more spacious natural enclosures with plenty of greenery and enrichment is the standard. Zoos have been forced to change in more enlightened countries or else go out of business. Wish I could say that about zoos in every country in the world.
