Rare 9.5mm film of vintage aircraft, Simmonds / Hermes 3 seater Spartan bi-plane G-APBZ taking off from an airfield probably Hampshire, 4th May 1932 . The pilot sits down to read a newspaper at the end of the film !
The aircraft was registered to Skywork Ltd. and was operated by the Spartan Air Circus. It was re-registered in May 32 ( when this film was shot) to Aero Services Pty Ltd Germiston. Sadly she crashed in the sea off Cape Town December 1933.
