Actually, several years of 2nd, 3rd places forged a weapon that was then sent to south america. And made two great football nations cry. The racist stereotypes of old are still very much alive/well, that's why subjects like this are still being talked about till this day, age. The old western view of someone of African background has always been shrouded in as much negativity, disdain as possible so as to justify trans atlantic slave trade, colonialism, post colonial racial politics of today. However, even as they (colonialists) have fought to enforce this mindset, people of African origin have still managed to show that they're more than what those who've taken it as a lifelong job to diminish them can ever present to the unbiased mind/eyes. Will racism ever be eradicated? Your guess is as good as mine.

My brother in the Lord.. a slower "white"winger will never be more favourable than a faster "black" winger that's just how football works.. its not a more athletic player.. its a more athletic POSITION and it's not black players fault that they're gifted with being faster than most others. I don't remember anyone complaining that Wembanyama at his 7'1 isn't a shooting guard because his shooting is very, very good, No he's a power forward because of his height, that PUSH to become a power forward from maybe his dad or coach brought out his potential.
