There is a risk with theses spikes though... they killed some of my trees. Not worth the risk.

I know this is better late than never; but the aftermarket 40 series I bought has steel slide bushings on either side of that big return spring. Comet uses self oiling bronze bushings there. They are number 203031a. You need 2. These should fit your driver clutch and solve your issue. It did mine anyways with the exact same symptoms.Cheers.

Why is the flat table on top so far up from the stove? You'll loss heat for cooking

Because there wasn't much room in the stove already, and its primary purpose is to heat the tent, not to cook on.

Oh, I think it was 1.25 or 1.5" square tubing. The uprights are .5"

I feel like it is a good size for my family. I don't think I would go any bigger. It is harder to heat. If I were to do it again I would just add a lot more windows for air ventilation options (particularly in the summer months). I personally think it is a good size for 7 people.

This design has been tried and proved not only by me but by thousands that have purchased the model this is based off of. If I shut the door and vents the fire goes out and I don't get any smoke leakage. The smoke just goes up the flue.

Just by experience, the wider your wheel base is , the harder it is to turn under full trailer weight. Also risk breaking your wheels.

I couldn't tell if you were mounting that straight to your bumper or on a mounting bracket? did you have to buy mounting bracket or what are you mounting to ? just straight on the bumper?

This is a bracket that sits in front of the bumper and is tied into the frame of the truck (bolted on at the front). It is separate from the bumper
