That;s what I call a permanant fix even though you;re replacing it. I can even fix a rental property garage door like this to buy time until my tenant moves out. Or even if i decide to keep the old door i can do this Strut repair to keep the door running as long as i want. Nicely Done I enjoyed the video.

Yeah, that will Help out the door alot for a repair. It will last alittle longer for that Weak Spot in it. Your place and the rest of the home's don't look to be that old...strange that it broke already. Good Luck with the New Door😊

Ya, it is only 14 years old; however, the builder did put in cheap stuff unless I specifically "upgraded" anything, so I am not surprised. Also, kids have it the garage with their bikes and dented it... I am sure that has shortened the life of it a bit too by creating weak spots.

Save those long rails, you'll want them on the new door also.
