I am a gardener and plant lover. i have gone to school for Horticulture but i have found that i have learned so much more from hands on experience. With this channel i will be showing you what i have learned over time. maybe answer some questions as well as just having fun experimenting... as long as we learn from our mistakes we are growing :) Lets grow together :)
Please let me know if you have anything you want me to discuss on this site.. I will do my best to touch on every issue :)

my seeds off Amazon came with end drilled
I live in an area that Tropical Hibiscus plants can only live during the summer and i dont have room to bring it in. My question is, does it really need pruned over a 3 - 4 month period. It gets a little over 3 feet tall
Ok,but if you're always pruning them back, how do you get those big cascading hanging baskets?
Do you create your own potting mix?
Yes! I have stapelia gigantia, and yeah, they smell like trash, but I just got a leendertziae, and I was surprised by how much they smell like rotting meat!
Mine wont flower
Where have you been all my life!?
What does the bloom look like.
Any new updates?
So its been 10 years and i bet you've got plants with flowers now. What colors did you get? Make a video
Use pliers to hold the seed then grate or sand it gently, just enough to crack the shell with out damaging the seed.
Sooooo glad I found this video! You explained it well, not just telling how to deadhead but showed us the difference of what should and shouldn’t be snipped off! Thank you so much!!
Can the medinilla be grown outside in a container in south texas
wonder how it looks 9 years later...
YT put the subscribe button right on top of the one after Atlantis. What is the name of that one?
3:40 Do you have an update on the canopy control? A few years ago, I did a trial using them on raspberry sawfly. Wow!! I haven’t had that much damage since!! Maybe a few leaves get chewed on, but that is easily manageable. My crop of raspberries is fantastic now!! I will be trying it on the tarnished plant bug situation in my strawberries this year. Last year when I noticed the problem, we had forest fire evacuations that took priority over the garden. But this is the year!!🍓
Properly explained makes it easier
Lovely, nature at its best.
Wheres yue rlephant ears?
Very helpful. Thank you! I learned that the further down the stem it is, that is is more likely a seed pod!
Guess it is too late to ask a question lol. Amazing video though
In Ireland our problem is overwatering from watching your American channels 😂😂 But in Ireland they probably only need watering once a week, with the feed. Even if it doesn’t get rained on in window boxes. 😅😅 ( unless of course we have a heatwave)
I water mines and it seems to help it it’s growing by leaps and bounds
How they looking now
So you cut the blooming flowers once a week? In a potted plant?
The kids are distracting.

Great tour. I am doing a colocasia garden with about 6 different varieties
That's an awesome hoodie. I love your garden tours.
Could please add a link to those plant lights & battery pack. Asking from Thunder Bay Canada 🇨🇦.
A question I have that I've been unable to find an answer to, is about how far away is the smell noticeable? Like will my neighbors be upset with me, or can only smell within a distance, and roughly what is that distance?
This guy
Things are looking great .
Really love the primula(sp?). I’ve never seen the variegated sedum. Beautiful.
❤❤
Lovely garden, I wish mine would look as tidy as yours 😂. Really enjoyed your tour.
You might want to consider adding small ollas to your pots to help keep water and less chance of spashing too.
Bill everything is looking good. About your Japanese maple, I think there is a time you should not prune it but I don't remember when. About your rose, if you don't like it get rid of it. There are so many beautiful roses get one you like. Thanks for the video.
I think the best time to prune is late June through early August.. after the big flush of growth is finished in the spring.
I think I'm doing a tomato garden this year. I left some tomatoes on the plants because I was lazy and now I have thousands of seedlings coming up. 😂
lol…. Fun! And those volunteers will likely produce and perform better than anything you’d plant from the store.. lol.
As always man great video awesome plants cant wait till a mid\late summer update when everything is massive
Enjoyed your backyard tour! I would prune off the lower branches of your Japanese maple but not the top of the larch, or at least wait and see how it develops! I totally thought that cat mint was a Hydrangea! Love the double file viburnum! It's going to look quite full in your yard in a few years with all your interesting shrubs and trees! I hope, you'll keep showing it to us!🌳🌲🌿🏵
Thanks for the feedback 😃 I might have made some bad choices when planting such a monster viburnum.. lol. But time will tell.. that’s the fun of gardening.. if in time it gets too big I can trim it or remove it. However I don’t want to do either if I can help it.. I want to see that beautiful natural branching. My fully sun garden is turning into a shade garden faster than I anticipated..lol.
Your backyard garden looks great Bill. I would prune the lower branches of your Japanese maple. It's a beautiful maple. My honeysuckle vine is also taking off given we are having above average rains in Kentucky. The main bonus I think of having the honeysuckle vine is all the hummingbirds they attract. Hope your Redbud recovers this year. Happy gardening, James
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, the honeysuckle is such an amazing hummingbird magnet…. And is pretty too!!
Thanks Bill . Your garden is lovely ! 💐💚🙃 Happy Growing ! 💐💚🙃
Great tours as usual Bill. Glad to see you back uploading 😊! I would prune off the bottom branches on the Japanese maple but I wouldn't remove the top of that larch. It's beautiful. Not sure why it would revert near the top of the tree, usually the reversion happens on the rootstock. From the snippet in the video, the top looks kinda wavy so it may just be doing it's normal thing. Not too sure.
I agree... i would hate to prune the Larch.. it could be like the curly willow where it's more dramatic on younger plants.
Everything looks great. I'd prune up the maple.
Did it work, where is the follow up vid?
thanks for the helpful video it was exactly what I needed !
Every part of the water lotus plant is edible.
What soil mix are you growing your seedlings in, please?
