  The method works, but in my opinion it is somewhat outdated and time-consuming. Such routine tasks can be solved using scripts and plugins. For example, aesscripts has a free plugin rd: Slicer, and a similar tool for cutting a layer into parts with masks is included in some other plugins. Save your time, friends!

  what is the max amount of groups ??? and what is the max numbers of groups and sense. I am creating a transition with six line from left to right and six from right to left. 2 shape layers with one group each one left one right

  For me, (using AE 2023) The luma matte is now a toggle next to the layer selection, took me forever to figure that out.

  Luma inverted matte disable for me..but track mate is ther...luma inverted matte option is not available
