    what is the max amount of groups ??? and what is the max numbers of groups and sense. I am creating a transition with six line from left to right and six from right to left. 2 shape layers with one group each one left one right

  • @snap-n-shoot

    Is it possible to apply a Gaussian Blur to just one of the Groups? For example, if I wanted to create an animated Neon Sign and I wanted each stroke to have different opacity and blur effects, is this possible? I can only seem to apply a Gaussian blur at the top level which effects all of the stroke groups at the same time?

  • @aftereffectschannel1264

    @aftereffectschannel1264

    3 жыл бұрын

    From what I know an effect is applied to en entire "layer" instead of separate elements of it, so it would be difficult to "separate" them and give personalized neon glows. I would consider animate the elements separately, just like here I have duplicated that one animation 3 times and each separate layer could have its own effects applied!

    Could you explain how to take all the groups out from a shape layer as in individual layers? Thanks

  • @aftereffectschannel1264

    @aftereffectschannel1264

    2 жыл бұрын

    The simpliest way are scripts that do exactly that for you, if not just right click > create a new shape layer > and ctrl+C and CTRL+V that particular group into this new shape layer and do that process for every thing you need copied over.

  • @AZ-ln7ky
    @AZ-ln7ky5 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! What about text, can we do the same thing?

  • @aftereffectschannel1264

    @aftereffectschannel1264

    5 жыл бұрын

    Not exactly, no because when you crate text in after effects, unless you "Create shapes from Text" you have a TEXT layer which is very specific and doesn't have the exact same features and possibilities as a Shape Layer. But that is nothing bad, you rather want the text to stay on one layer and just PRE-COMPOSE it if you need multiple text layers in one container :)

    @after effects channel - how can I pair the path movement of two objects within the same shape layer?

  • @aftereffectschannel1264

    @aftereffectschannel1264

    3 жыл бұрын

    You don't pair movement unless you use position or scale or rotation keyframes, with trim paths each separate path will needs it's own trim paths applied and then you can possibly copy over keyframe, you can't simply "pair" movement since AE would not know what to do without enough instructions. It probably could be done with expressions but I'm no boss at them!

    but how do you stop a shape from vanishing? i want the same effect but i want the star shape to stay after animation

  • @aftereffectschannel1264

    @aftereffectschannel1264

    3 жыл бұрын

    Just brutally stop the keyframes from going back to zero values. You can give any trim paths values you need, you don't have to always make them 50/50 or 50 to 0, use trim paths without making the collapsing part

    cool idea and tutorial, but I don´t think it´s really "multiple OBJECTS". I was looking for something like a square and a triangle on the same shape layer...

  • @aftereffectschannel1264

    @aftereffectschannel1264

    Ah the point I wanted to get across is to people understand a bit more about containers, properties and shapes within groups, it's a complicated topic that isn't enough explained in tutorials in my opinion!
