Better than the sequel.
This movie made everyone want to try snowboarding or even surfing anything that encourages kids to be outside is good enough for me.
9:48 Welp, guess Dan Schneider is suing you next. :P
16:02 Thanks a lot Nostalgia now I can’t un-hear that 😂
Didnt know people didn't like this movie. I loved it as a kid and it honestly got me interesting in studying mythical creatures. I still prefer seeing dragons in this style where they are living, thinking, conscious animals instead of "evil dragon, must slay" or exotic animal with dog personality. Not to discredit the other versions. I love HTTYD series, but I love his Draco was another person than another animal
Not gonna lie. I love this film. Legit.
This is literally just Transformers: One with animals
You know it's really sad to see the same guy who played as Roland Tembo from The Lost World - one of the most badass characters in the franchise - also playing as an annoying bumbling idiot. I mean - nice acting range but still.....ROLAND FUCKING TEMBO!!
Dragonheart will always be my childhood film and I will always have a soft spot for it... Now onto watching it get destroyed by the Critic
In the movie's defense I think the french dub is way better XDDD
Jurassic Park looked more realistic than this monstrosity
The aliens on that one desert planet look like the ones from aliens in the attic.
Nope, I still hate 🤬 this movie. It's writing 📝 is horrible, and it does the Spider-man No More story plot too soon. Doctor Octopus 🐙 shouldn't have the same problems as Green Goblin and Venom, like having multiple personality disorder. VFX are still great. Spider-man shouldn't be having his mask off so often.
Massage your commentary and your intro, I love the music
Where did you get that beautiful music that was at the start from?
I actually liked this movie when I was a kid, and the scene where Draco became a constellation played in my head when I heard about Sean Connery dying a few years ago. Oh yeah an episode of 'The New Adventures of Robin Hood' completely ripped off the plot of this movie but with a Giant instead of a Dragon.
Ok where did he get the information of Rugrats ending in 2012?
You're tripping Green Goblin looked as hell
love his blue meanie mouth and a similar voice to the blue meanie chief and his design is also verry creepy
Tremors
Since its been 7 years since this "Series" premiered I thought I'd share my thoughts; While this is a cool concept, its very poorly executed. Doug hasn't really done anything new here. All he's done is taken screenshots from Winnie The Pooh and placed them into screenshots of Silence of the Lambs. All I'm seeing here are still images of Winnie The Pooh characters superimposed onto pictures from SOTL with some impressions playing over the top. Its barely even a video! At best, its a glorified audiobook. Its not creative, or groundbreaking or clever. If you had animated this series, that would be better. Imagine it, a recreation of Silence of the Lambs but animated in the style of the Disney Winnie the Pooh movies. Ingenious! A true juxtaposition between terrifying horrors and children's animation. But no. Doug's just lazy and put in the bare minimum effort. Also for those who haven't seen Silence of the Lambs, they're not getting the full context of the story. All they see are screenshots. Again, if the scenes were recreated in animation, that would be better and create a clearer picture of the story. Without it all we have are some impressions playing over some pictures without a real story. If you want to make an audio series, turn it into a podcast. But don't get lazy and just upload some screenshots which occasional zooms in or out. Very very poor.
There will always be a special place in my heart for this movie, but I admit it could BENEFIT from a modern remake.... I like the story as is, but and certain character character motivations should be flushed out better. And I would love to see a BETTER, Updated dragon
Still my favorite movie. The old code left a impression on me as a kid along with Draco.
0:49 That one didn't age quite so well...
I saw this movie once when it first came out and thought it was unremarkable. The only scene I remember is when Connery swoops in and shows his half-heart to the villain guy in whose chest was the other half. Don't remember any of the names, or anything else that happened.
Unpopular opinion, but I quite liked ATLA 2024. It was really really good. I would give it a 9/10 overall. But that score is kinda pointless when ATLA 2005 would be a 13/10.
Actually looking at that chameleon rock effect they did with draco looks good still and thats crazy but its a shame they couldn't do more of that in the film. Very ambitious film for sure and I'd say it helped move along CGI as we know it today. Leprechaun 4 CGI will always be the worst CGI Ive ever seen😂😂😂hands down. Worse than PS1 graphics type stuff. Love your take on this film!
Thank you for the 30 year old Simpsons references. My people.
Yessss! I was hoping we'd get something like this.
If you have never played a final fantasy game before, 7 remake is not the one to start with.
I'd so much rather play Dragons Dogma II over watching this movie
Appreciate the Mike the Knight shout out.
I was literally talking about these movies all yesterday! It’s a sign from the universe! Thank you Nostalgia Critic!
Wow! 😂 I never knew how much my experience was improved by only ever listening to this movie in GERMAN!
You know Disney have messed up where I like Valentino the abusive pimp from Hazbin Hotel more than Valentino the goat from Wish
there are Great fantasy film from Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter
20:19 again is astonishing how little research the critic does for his videos, Draco didn't give him "the strongest half of his heart" it just give him half his heart, you know THE HEART OF A F*CKING DRAGON!!!! he has the endurance of a dragon.
I still love this movie.
no....what's sad is that you took time to find all of these commercials, edit it, and comment on all of them. Get a life!!!
Wait, poeple hate this film?
16:32.... critic screams "how is it humanly possible" to recognize sean's voice, to which I say "how is it humanly possible not to see those are NOT the same rocks, like, at all".
Whatever you thoughts about this movie are, I guarantee you, the sequel is considerably worse in every aspect.
ugh. just imagine how this film could have been so much better if every character we se in the end ceredits was in this film and that they were curse by maleficient?
sigh, u know what? instead of the seven dwarves, what if her friends were all the disney princesses? And for the preincarnation of Ariel you had a girl who was disabled that wanted to walk instead of just throwing in a disabled character for the sake of a disabled character? And you could have had her as teh friend who betrayed everyone because she was so desperate to have freedom yet afterwards it would feel like with every step she took was painful which woudl tie in to the orginal fairy tale HOW WAS THIS SO HARD???????
This movie become one of and still is favourite movies I legit still cry when the dragon dies
Don't hate on this one. I'll always have a soft spot for Dragonheart. It was pretty darn good for it's time.
Imagine seeing this episode as a ten year old, which I was. Quietly horrifying. That jack-in-the-box head was frightful.
this was one of my all time favorites as a kid, being a big reptile fan (as half the kid population) I loved dragons, dinosaurs, crocodiles, etc. so this movie was a threat for 10 year old me, also the latin american dub got Jose Lavat as the voice of draco who had a very distinctive deep voice that sounded equal parts manly and wise, as such he also did the dub version of aslan, but he's more remembered as the narrator of Dragon ball, bottom line in the latin american dub draco sounded very wise.
ive always enojyed NC content, and this might be my 'the wall' review, because i've never seen someone miss so much information or get things so wrong.
The main theme of dragonheart is still one of the most beautiful and "chill inducing" pieces ever composed
now how about all those sequels?
