Crescent Limited Productions
Crescent Limited Productions
Crescent Limited Productions is a channel primarily focused on railfan videos for railfans and railroad buffs. Most videos featured are from eastern North Carolina, but I often include videos from central North Carolina. I am originally from northern Virginia, so videos from northern and western Virginia are often featured as well. Every now and then, I'll shoot video in other places from various road trips.
The name "Crescent Limited Productions" is inspired from one of Southern Railway's named passenger trains, the "Crescent Limited" - later called "The Crescent" - between New York and New Orleans via Virginia and North Carolina.

Them southern cars in the beginning they must have dropped them off at the Pitt County Landfill in Greenville because I didn't see them on the Farmville clip.
Lousia is my dad hometown I always go there to see trains
Nice catch Very Rare BNSF Power.
Great area to view the ol' GPs.
18:06 love the echo on the horn
Wow
Love the night action! 13:18 is a great one
Wow amazing catch!
Great video Question Do any of thêse freight trains have cabooses?
What is the reason for so many empty flatbeds?
Yea
one heckuva caboose
Wow, excellent video, Crescent Limited Productions. love watching trains down home.
Very cool.
So glad you caught this move CLP. I like your perspective. They pulled the last of these flats out behind the NS Savannah and Atlanta heritage unit, #1065.
Good video. Enjoyed it.
I've got a few photos of New Bern from back in the Age of Steam. You'd be surprised how many tracks and structures that were there back then compared to now. There was a Roundhouse and Turntable west of the station at one time, along with a track running up the street from Jacksonville that met the A&EC at a diamond in the street in front of the station.
Jacksonville used to have a rail yard back in the late 1950's ans 1960's. My Daddy used to take to the rail yard to watch Atlantic Coast Line switch cars on Saturday mornings. One Saturday morning the Engineer of ACL engine number 138 allow me and my Daddy to come aboard the engine and I got to push the throttle forward to move the engine. that was a Thrill for a 8 yr old boy. I am now 72 yrs old. The rail yard in Jacksonville had about 5 spurs next to US Highway 17, with one spur heading to Camp Lejuene to pick up the military cars. Back then the main line ran from New Bern to Wilmington.
Another rare catch.
Awesome video.
great video man! when do they run this train? assorted weekdays?
Thanks. They run one direction per day on weekdays, but the direction and day are random, depending on the previous day's work. I was told they operate Mon-Thurs, and occasionally Friday.
@@crescentlimitedproductions9192 where do they store the two geeps on the weekend? Moorefield?
@@daniel_the_railfan not 100% sure, but I know their shops are in Moorefield so it's likely. During the week I know they tie down when work is finished. They started in Green Springs when I chased.
Live Nearby in Spencer everytime i cross the bridge over linwood yard i always see trains parked there crew changes or switching cars so to be fair the entire yard isnt closed but some of it is.
2024 update: 15t/16t are back on their original shenandoah vally line.
I used to do contract work for NS on the Virginia Division. I traveled all along the H-Line from Hagerstown, MD to Bristol, TN. One of the most beautiful place I saw along those rails was at Arcadia. I even took my wife there one time so she could see it first hand when we were vacationing in the area.
Thanks great video,
Great video. Cool shots. I love the old N&W signals.
Nice I’m going to Lousia today
YN2s are cool units
Great, well done!
Paint's a little odd, but damn what a voice
How often does NS use that siding at Hartsoe?
That 60+ year old geep has still got it! What a great sound!!!!
Thanks Crescent Limited Productions, super cool.
Great video.
Thanks
Nice 1800 series and an Ace in town. Great video.
Thanks. It was pretty neat seeing an all EMD lashup in Morehead City.
It's kinda funny that Edenton is on the C&A and can handle 8-axle flats, yet the Port is the transload site....
I was thinking the same thing, definitely an interesting routing.
I was wondering the same thing like I wonder how they got to Edenton
Must be nice running on flat ground. I guess going through the middle of the street like that its restricted speed.
10mph
Was at the Louisa depot this past Tuesday.
Engine 70 is a 2 8 2 locomotive not a 2 8 0
Last time you'll see tanks at MCBCL. All USMC tank battalions and 2/3 of 155mm howiters, gone. Stricken. Its too quiet.
Very nice video. I like the street running in New Ben too bad it wasn't in daylight. Interestingly they flipped the power somewhere between Atlanta & where you caught it. In the Atlanta area it was 8853-6516-764-5861. The was equipment from 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing @ MCAS Cherry Point, NC & 2nd Marine Logistics Group @ Camp Lejeune, NC returning from MCAS Yuma, AZ for Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 1-23.
I’m surprised that the SW Chief train that was involved the Missouri derailment was in the video
Great catch.
Thank you Crescent Limited, For posting, I saw a video a few days ago with those engines in Roanoke, VA passing thru. and knew they were headed to Morehead City, NC. Love your videos showing down home, I lived in Morehead City for many years. Thanks again for posting.
Great. The opening clip with Bluff Mountain in the background is pretty neat!
Very cool.
Why can't those guys just walk over and pick up those plastic bags?
Great catch and video!
Great catch. Great opening shot. Thanx for filming freight back and forth from the state port.
Where do you live? I'm in Newport, but only 200 yards from the MHC town line.....
Wouldn't that be Wildwood?
awesome video with good canary, paces, on board canary and catches of these Southwest Chiefs
Proud to say I caught and documented this excursion. Great video!
