Priceless info! I rushed over to my carousel and I prised off the centre cap. Sure enough, there are the tubes for the spare blades but unfortunately, I bought cheap on eBay and the tubes were empty... 😭 However, I have now ordered spare blades to pop into the provision in the carousel.... 👍👍😁

Maybe i'm missing something but can I ask why you pushed the minute counter down at the 3 o clock index when the hour hand is centered on 12? I thought you would put the hour pointer at 6 o clock index then put the minute counter pointed to the 12 o clock counter. If you do it your way in this video, doesn't it not line up when the minute marker strikes 12? Confused and wonder if you can provide some context.
@richardperrettwatchmaker2 күн бұрын
Hi @Justsomeguy1015 ... It's a very valid observation, thanks for highlighting it. I will answer it again so it appears several times in the comments so folks can find the answer easily when scrolling through. The context is is simple .... it was my mistake. Often I find myself working extremely late, partly to meet a self imposed 'need to get this video finished' deadline and partly because I am enjoying what I am doing and don't want to stop. I shot the this 'makes no sense' hands re-installation when I was probably a bit to tired to still be working and I messed it up. When I came back to the watch after some rest I noticed the error and corrected it as you will see it the final section of the film. Hope this explains and thanks again for the query which is well made. Richard

Why would Rolex put ordinary steel in these expensive watches when there’s metal way better that won’t rust
@MrPINKFL0YD3 күн бұрын
You said it was the equal of a Rolex but I'd say that it was better quality than a Rolex who were really a tool watch maker with pretentions of luxury.. A 1959 Rolex in today's money would be £1,500. I have two Rolex so I'm not a hater - just fed up with the snobbery of the company these days. Great video!
