Following on from my video in which I restored 'Billy The Scaffolder's' Vintage Rolex Datejust this time I restore the bracelet to go with the watch. I have restored this Rolex and its bracelet for an Irishman called Cathal who purchased the watch from Billy and has gifted it to his father in Ireland.

Special tools are required for doing this work and despite it being the first Rolex bracelet I have restored Cathal seemed to be pretty pleased with the result.
I limit the narration in this video to give room for some nice calming ASMR.

Finally, a great demonstration of the complete disassembly of a Watch bracelet. Fantastic resto!
Richard, The watch is a fantastic transformation!!! You caught me off guard during our phone conversation so I must reiterate that I am extremely grateful of the time and effort you have given to restore this watch. My father is delighted with his gift and I’m sure he will wear it proudly for many years to come. All the best Cathal

I would prefer to have a watch like that with a good story behind it than a 15 grand Daytona 😂

Thanks also cathal for letting richard share this and the story it’s been an amazing watch, i also have an almost 30 year old Rolex I’m sending for service this year I’ll guess they will be doing something like this so just amazing to see it first hand
Everyone take a moment to consider how many times the old owner's wrist moved to create that amount of wear on the pins, the countless hours of work done with it on, yet with a clean an relube, the watch performance was excellent. It is a testament to how well built a Rolex movement is. Fantastic.

My father wore his for 35 years, I inherited it when he passed 20 years ago. The jubilee bracelet is stretched as bad as this one, easily. I miss the sound it made when he would wiggle his wrist around to wind it.

I’m a scaffolder of 26 years and watches take an absolute battering….excellent job 💪 Btw I have a G-Shock now that’s been brilliant for my profession
Outstanding job Major, you Sir have earned a standing ovation from your cousins in America. ❤
My God, man, your patience and attention to detail is incredible!! Amazing work!!
Wow Richard that was both delicate and tedious work to separate out the bracelet parts and then polish each one. I applaud your patience and skill in bringing that bracelet back to life. Just brilliant.
That bracelet 😱 And so many parts. You resurrected it in the truest sense
Fascinating, I had no idea it was that labor intensive to re-pin bracelet. Great job as usual.
The guy who's getting that Rolex is a lucky man not only having a Rolex but one that's had the perfect perrett treatment..
Well done Richard. That was incredibly painstaking, time consuming work. And the result tells it all !
Fantastic work Richard. Both watch and bracelet look amazing. Love the way you can bring back old watches looking like new again
Wow. What an incredible amount of tedious work. The bracket made the movement restoration look easy. Thank you for showing the amount of detail and dedication you have. Well done!
Thanks- I’ve always wondered how the bracelet is dismantled and redone, very informative
Brilliant job! So much wear over the years, and that spring-bar! Top job as predicted, thanks.
I dont know how you do it, Rich. That bracelet would have made me pull out the rest of my hair. Remarkable how much wear was on those pins.
Fabulous video. Always intrigued me how to pull it all apart. Bracelet turned out great
Thanks Richard that was incredible to watch 👍
No words! This is incredible! Skillful fingers!
I just don’t know how you have the patience, Richard. When I saw the job you were facing, I felt like crying 😭 I also felt your pain at underwhelming response from the client! You worked a miracle on that watch - I’m in awe of your skill. 🇬🇧👍
Always a pleasure to see how you do your magic, Richard! 🤙🏼
What huge bracelet repair and restoration ! I love that tool for remove and replace all the bracelet link ! Thank for sharing it’s really informative ✨👌 Nice work Mr.Richard 🙂
It's amazing how something so simple, has so many parts to it!!
I find your video very relaxing to watch.
Yaaaaaaay! 😊 I was so curious about this after your last video. Very nice work. Thanks again for all your great videos over the years!
tremendous patience, Richard. great results.
Richard, I can see why you said you don’t usually do bracelets! That probably took longer than taking the main body and inner workings of a watch apart and putting it back together again…lol! Brilliant Job. Enjoyed watching and the meticulous care you took. Cheers from Nova Scotia..MikeR. ( ps. I own an older DateJust with this exact bracelet and have a greater appreciation of how well crafted it is. )
I'm a bit speechless Richard. Words don't do justice to the effort and patience you put in to the bracelet restoration! Given the state of the pins and spring bars.......Bravo 👏👏. Just outstanding craftsmanship!! 👌 "Superlative" is the best I can do!
What an absolutely fantastic restoration on the watch and especially the bracelet. It would have been so much easier to just buy a new bracelet....but the story and character of the watch would have been lost. Great job!!!
Just outstanding Richard! Thank you for posting this video 👍 All the best, Norm in Arizona
Love your Videos Richard and admire Billy’s wearing of this one watch for so long. Merry Christmas Sir. I’ve been waiting on this to show up since the last video on this. Cheers!
The almost chafed pins of the bracelet are another proof to what this watch has accomplished over decades. Very good job, Richard! Thanks for sharing.
Those bracelet pins tell some story. Worth framing I reckon. Lovely work.
That bracelet!!!! Goodness, what a "major" pain in the.... !!! Fantastic job transforming that beaten watch back to its glory.
My friend you have the patience of a saint, there is no way I would have undertaken such tedious work.
flawless work … your a credit to all watchmakers

Thanks Daniel ... Much appreciated! Richard
I had my jubilee bracelet re-done like this and it cost me a few hundred pounds. I had no idea it took this much work. Patience of a saint!
The amount of painstaking work and attention to detail. The order. The complete mastery of the craft. Congrats on the spectacular results. Absolutely miraculous work. I'm speechless. Love from LA, Winston
Wow..what an ordeal. Those pins have certainly taken their toll..but then again, the watch was worn daily..so they seemed to have held up pretty well. The 'D' links too have been worn but not as bad it appears. Great job on putting that all together. Watch looks fabulous now. Thanks for the tour....kudos
Amazing work and a lot of work to do buy the looks too
I appreciate your doing the bracelet! I wanted to have mine done, but the tech said it would be cheaper to buy a new Rolex bracelet than go through all the labor. I’m in Texas. Thanks for doing what you do.
Excellent work!
Very cool to see this done.
The bracelet is now as well restored as the watch! What a tedious process. Well done !
I was not aware how much work goes into this type of work and that you need these sturdy special tools for it. Very neat and practical that you used Kanji characters to organize the pieces (oki kara chisai made) 🙂
Phenomenal Richard……..What an art form…….
respect for this work!
amazing work
Beautiful watch 👍
Fantastic work 👏
Looks like an entire days work. Like building scaffold in miniature. Can I send you my 2 tone bracelet for the same repair?
Good morning Richard! I cannot tell you how much i enjoy your videos! Im wearing my Seiko NH34 GMT and hope to hear your thoughts on these budget movements one day. Cheers sir!!!
That's a BULLY of a job! Superb workmanship! Best Regards, Jay.
This was a very educational video. I have always stayed clear of the Jubilee bracelets because of their intricacy. And those old springbars: they were skelotonized. LOL!
Wow what a transformation your patient's sir is admirable the end result looks great 😊
Mesmerising. Now I know why this bracelet is so expensive!! Thank You.
Good job thanks sir
Great video! and your Sea Wolf is beautiful!
I have a jubilee bracelet on one of my ProMasters and I was curious how it was assembled. Great video.
Wow, never saw the belt sander coming. Would love to know the material thickness lose over the course of the bracelet reconditioning. Great video.
Great video thanks.
On site I just put rubber strap on my 16600. Each to their own . Great video mate!
The watch is stunning and Richard is brave, better than the usual stunning and brave of today 😂 cathal was probably a bit lost for words initially
That looked as complicated as when you service the movement. Great video 👍
OMG! Those spring bars !!!
I use electric shaver cleaner on my bracelet, love your vids Richard!
30 years daily on worksites as a scaffolder? I'm surprised that watch survived so well. Edit: Its a greater miracle the bracelet is even intact. That was a fine and detailed restoration.
Thanks 👍🎄
I reckon it needed cleaning a bit lol !!! And a bit of work...wow !!! Best one I've ever seen. The original owner got his money's worth and probably his money BACK !!! Surprised he wanted to part with it but good for all !!!!!! I enjoyed all of this. Thank you
Oh man, those Jubillee Bracelet's are hard to size nevermind refinish one to that extent, but the man that wore it to skeletonize Rolex Spring Bars...I'd say it was worthy, great job Richard! And Congrats to the new owner and glad Billy got to see it.
Madness restoration 😮
Good job!
Good grief...those pins 😳😳😳 Such a great restoration. Great job there Richard. I get what you were about to say about the clasp...but look at it another way, that was a 90% restoration of a 90% dead bracelet. WELL DONE 👏👏👏
Great video, I have a Submariner with a stretched strap after 10 years of daily wearing. Very interesting to see the work required for when t goes in for refurbishment.
I've been looking forward to this video. Beautiful work and such a lot of it too, what with all those slightly different parts! I really should get my old watch sorted out before I pop my clogs...
Amazing
One Word, "Brilliant".
Well done👍💪👏
Excellent. Video. Supper good
Epic work Richard. Who knew how complicated a Rolex Jubilee bracelet is but then that's Rolex for you?
Blimey, a lot of work for a jingly jangly pin and collar with no solid end links. But you know what... Love it👍👍
Wow! That is incredible, but curious if metal fatigue is a concern?
I really like the video, I've spent some time learning what watchmakers do, It is quite relaxing on my end. Is it just me or is that Rolex movement much nicer than most? All the other movements I've seen look far less dressed up. Every bit the same build wise. Thank you for doing great work!
great video, what sz are those pins and where can i purchase them?
Great effort Richard!! What a transformation. Apart from being super careful, what’s the trick to not pining the links across the room when you are polishing them, only held with tweezers?
Richard : great video and story ! Thank you. (Im a pro video editor and if you dont mind can i give you 1 easy quick tip? On your audio tracks, DISSOLVE between edits, dont cut the audio track with a “square-end” and hey presto you will feel your videos flow even better!)❤❤
Hi, great vid. How much is the tools and who make them?. Brgds.
Just painstaking work, Richard. Can you comment on the tool you used to disassemble the links? You never cease to amaze me with your work product.
Хорошая работа.
Hi I’ve never seen a watch restoration before I’m blown away by this, can I ask did the watch or the bracelet take longer to restore? Amazing work sir and what a back ground so interesting how’d you end up restoring watches?
Rolex wanted £900 to change/replace my jubilee bracelet. Having watched this, given the amount of effort, seems good value. Love the bit of off cut secreting board, for the link holder 👍😂 Have a great Christmas Looking forward to next year
I like your watches, I see in your website you use Swiss movements. Where are the rest of the parts made and where are the watches assembled? Cheers
Richard what is the tool (clamp) used to separate the links and if possible where did you get it? Great video showing a process rarely if ever shown.😅
Would have been interesting to know the length of the bracelet before and after (and also what the length of a new one would be). Curious how much of the stretch was fixed.
Your a hero
Cleaning and sorting the Jubilee bracelet links looked like a real pain in the ass! My own 30 year old Seiko Kinetic has the very same strap. Great job in all fairness. Splendid and now in showroom condition.
Lovely stuff, what a satisfying task. How many hours went into the bracelet, if not filming?
@richardperrettwatchmaker

Hi @yebo56... I figure the bracelet was about 10 hours but to film this was more like 20 hours. The edit was 5 hours upload to KZread and Thumbnail creation and description another 3 or 4 hours. So about 28 to 30 hours all up. Hope this is helpful. Richard

Hi, Richard, i’m thinking of restauring my Old Breitling Pilot Bracelet. But cannot find new pins for it anywhere… where did you found the one for this rolex? Thanks
Fabulous. How much it cost to restore a folded jubilée rolex bracelet ?? Mine is getting loose too…
Čan I ask you a question. I am thinking of taking up watch repair/servicing as a hobby. Is it straight forward to procure replacement parts...how would one get replacenent rolex or omega parts
