I just purchased a 2020 Subaru with a 2.4 turbo. The oil suggested is 0-20, as in the video? I also want to try Royal Purple. I've read where others say 5-30 oil works just as fine. Can anyone confirm?

Do you put the screw driver head between the fangs and click counterclockwise to lower. Want to make sure I am putting the screwdriver head in the right place. Thanks. There is a plastic piece with a slot that protrudes toward the back. It looks like the procedure would be to turn this plastic piece, but you don't mention it. Where does the screwdriver head go?

Thanks, My cargo net came from the dealer with no instructions or template, and the knobs loose in the pouch. I printed a template online and had it all done in minutes. Wouldn't of went down that way without your instructions!

I looked at a 2012 Outback Carfax and about 1.5 years after 170k miles. A person that did a youtube video about common problems with Gen 4 stated the problem with the bulbs is when the alternator gets old, it starts voltage spiking over 14.1 volts....He said, :Change the alternator out or get high quality bulb filaments" I thought can't you use LED bulbs, I put them in my dim 1997 outback and it was great!!!

Awesome presentation. Nice, calm, and informative. I know next to nothing about hand guns, and Knew nothing about shotguns, particularly the over/under. I've been thinking of getting one for a few years. Now I feel nice, calm and informed. I'm 'going shopping'. Thanks. Really appreciate it.

Thanks for making it so easy to install the net. Before I watched the video I tried to ask the dealer service department; but they were absolutely no help. One even asked me to rip the panel to install it. I am glad I did not follow their lead and found your post.

This video contains a math flex... Glad my kids weren't around because that was a lot for a KZread video. 😅 Seriously, thanks though. I'm about to dig into this on my 2021 Forester because they actually need a slight adjustment up, which usually isn't the issue.

I'm that guy that does not understand the concept of a "security" dot. That explains why I couldn't tighten it. Never thought I'd go to a KZread video to see how to tighten something.

I appreciate manufacturers like Harley and Moto Gucci that make it unnecessary or very easy to adjust the valves. Hydraulic Adjusters or screw and locknut like on a Moto Guzzi make home maintenance possible for the average person. Performing this check on a Honda interceptor or CBR 650 R should be reserved for the professional. I’m not saying it can’t be accomplished at home, but there is a lot of room for error.

Great job. The only thing I saw that I can give feedback on is the use of the template. You mounted it on the outside. It says in the instructions to mount it inside the fascia. I'm going to dremel is and see how that turns out. I think if you do multiple passes with the cutting tool, it won't heat up as much to "melt" it, but we'll see. Great video as it cleared up a lot for me.

wow, content creators are amazing on YT. 2024 OUTBACK, getting flashed at night all the time. Dealer said there was nothing they could do...entered my problem on YT and voilà! found this vid. Mine was the 8mm socket. on the 24 OUT you do have to remove the plastic panel on the underside of the car to get to the passenger adjustment screw. No biggy, watched a different on that, lol!

On my 2024 Outback, you have to remove the power outlet lid before installing the console vault. Otherwise it won’t be accessible if you plan to keep using it.

Thank you for this straightforward, no nonsense video. I bought a new Outback last year but since the dealership only includes 4 oil changes (2 years total), I was worried about oil change costs after 2 years since 2 of my friends that have Forresters tell me it costs almost $200 for an oil change and they kept insisting I can't do it myself. After watching the video, I know I can do it, so thank you!

I almost bought a 2015 Outback but chose the 2014 one because we thought it'd be cheaper insurance-wise. It was not. I don't know why they designed this the way they did, because the god damn 2015 and onward models have a normal pop-the-hood replacement.

I completed my hitch install a couple of days ago. Your video was very helpful, even with the official instructions in hand. My car is a 2024 Outback Touring XT. For the most part, everything was the same. A few differences: 1) The rear bumper valance must be cut before it can be remounted. 2) Despite the instructions, you do not need to remove the spare tire, unless of course you drop something into the well and have to remove the tire to remove the said dropped item. 3) I had to move the car before I had the rear valances back in place, but the error codes reset themselves automatically once it was back without having to disconnect the battery. Cutting the lower valance turned out to be quite easy. I used a Fein MultiMaster with a cut-off blade, running at the slowest speed, for the straight cuts and to cut inside the corners to get the bulk out of the way. The sweeps were done as you did, multiple passes with a sharp razor knife. The small radiuses were done with a Forstner bit in the drill press. Cutting the lower section of the bumper valances was easy with a jigsaw. All in all, it took only a 1/2 hour using this method. Thank you for the time you spent making the video. (A correction to my prior comment: The kit does not come with a new lower valance. I think that is only the Wilderness Edition.)

Ha ha ha it’s so funny when I just bought this exact model yeah make model color the front bumper wasn’t quite on 100% right and I noticed a bunch of brand new bulbs in the glove compartment and that the passenger side was not focused correctly or incorrectly so I knew there was an issue coming into this
