So, I was under the impression that, as a Christian, if you are a believer, you do what the teachings say, you die and your soul goes to Heaven. But, as it turns out, I don`t understand Christianity and probably neither 90% of Christians. Let me explain. Christianity says Jesus resurrected. His body came back to life, but he wasn`t undead. It was made from flesh (the body), as He said to Thomas that he could check His wounds and touch Him, but pundits will argue it was not, but something they can`t really tell... However, only now, He was the perfect being, body and soul and He could ascend to Heaven. So, dying and coming back into his body, made Him the perfect being. Even though the soul is immortal, the fact that God reanimated his physical body back made Him perfect. Because, without that, he was just human. That kind of reminds me of ancient Egyptians and their obsession with the preservation of the body. Same idea here, the body and soul reunite after death to make a person complete, or let`s say special. But back to my original point. Christians don`t just die and go to Heaven. No! They await the Judgement Day. Only then, Christ comes and your soul and body come together again to create this perfect being that could join God and His Son manifestation in Heaven, only then you are complete, just as your Savior. Of course, if you`re not dead, you would die then. But if you are, it does not matter that your body is just bones or that it doesn`t even exist, you will get it back intact, or a better version of it, even if you didn`t like it in the first place. So, to wrap this up, the way I see it, Christianity is the belief Jesus opened the possibility for mortals to get their body back after death, even if the soul IS immortal, because without the body, it is not complete, it is not perfect. Only then you become a Super being and you are worthy to join Them. I don`t know where the souls hang around until that day either, but please educate me if I don`t get it.
