Modern people will say, "we know slavery is immoral because a master would never flip roles with their slaves" but yet that's exactly what God did. The problem here is that you fail to understand the Biblical perspective, and you take the morals you got from the Judeo-Christian world-view for granted. How about you actually try to understand what the Bible teaches and the societal impact it's had throughout history before criticizing it out of ignorance.

A "god" that is not omnipresent is a different categorical topic than what is being discussed with the word "God", on Christianity (and even Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, etc.) The Christian God is not a hypothetical deity out there somewhere. God is the very Ground of Being, "in whom we live and move and have our being".

The only thing I would say is that the Bible is clear before we are children of wrath sons of darkness and the devil following the prince of the power of the air before we are saved and made alive by His spirit. This is why it is so important GOD rescued HIS enemies and then made them his children.

Interesting that one of the basic tenets of Islam is that Allah is most merciful , however David just read a string of verses from the Quran proving that Allah is anything but merciful. Nice going David.

I'm a Christian and completely sold on this thesis that we do not worship the same God as Muslims. However, I do have a doubt over one of your points. Wouldn't a fairer comparison with the verse that you mentioned about how those who believe in Allah would not love their fathers, sons, brothers etc if they didn't also love Allah, be Luke 14:26. This is where Jesus says, if anyone comes to be and does not hate their father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, even their own life-such a person cannot be my disciple.

Christianity can be summarized in one sentence "For God so loved the world... While Islam can be summarized in" Allah does not love... "

Crowley might actually have taken that quote from Augustin and modified it. Augustin wrote: "Love, and do what you will: whether you hold your peace, through love hold your peace; whether you cry out, through love cry out; whether you correct, through love correct; whether you spare, through love do you spare: let the root of love be within, of this root can nothing spring but what is good."

I disagree about the Beyonce part David but it is good for anyone to question Christianity in a sincere search for truth. How can their Allah be our Abrahamic God when he has no power whatsoever? Their cult leader even died by poison didn't he? Secondly, instead of reiterating the 10 commandments, the opposite is taught, kill Jews and Christians, sin or else you will be replaced, etc. Jay Z a theologian? His success will totally depend on his integrity.
