Allowing the ignorant and uneducated public to control their decisions on escaped animal recovery is insane. And the worst part? They will never be held accountable. Not by the AZA, which supposedly prides itself on having the highest level of safety and standards for animals, and not by the public.

Domestication of any animal is entirely POSSIBLE, however the risk of the process can go up a LOT depending on the time you're spending trying to do such, and with certain animals. take for example, Alligators. There ARE really nice Alligators, far nicer and more "Tame" than most, and very tolerant of Human interaction. However, the reason we haven't been able to domesticate them, is their age, and Time to reach maturity. Alligators can live for DECADES, and near Human Lifespans in Captivity, Some Crocodilians even Older. A Crocodile wont reach Sexual maturity to breed another Generation until probably Beyond a Decade. It would take about 50 Generations at BEST for Domestication, as an estimate. If you are reading this post, Domestic Crocodilians will not happen in your lifetime, sadly. It's entirely possible, but the amount of dedication required would be staggering. Multiple Generations of people would have to dedicate their entire lives to raising these animals, who could very well kill a person with EASE should someone make a mistake, And being around those animals every day, All your life, the odds of an accident are High. THAT is why we haven't been able to Domesticate Alligators. I think Tigers and other Big Cats are certainly DOABLE, and least far more than Big Reptiles. However, it's going to take a lifetime of effort, breeding the right, well-behaved animals to get it right. I think a Tiger or a Jaguar would be AWESOME. But, that comes with risk, again. Before an Animal lover hounds on me for this, and says "Wild animals belong in the Wild" I get that. I understand your point. That's why I didn't bring up freaking Orcas from SeaWorld, and tackling this argument the Video made. I love Animals just as much as you do, and I'm simply humoring the idea. Would a Tiger as a pet be a really cool Idea? Hell Yeah (Personally, I'd still go the route of Alligator XD). Is it realistic? Maybe not for now, but still a Cool Idea. People are actually getting fairly close with Foxes, and seems that bout Mountain Lions, and Coyotes could be next. But either way, I think this is a cool concept. I hope at some point this does happen, as it would be incredibly interesting, and be able to see such a magnificent animal up close, and in a safe environment where you'd normally never be able to get that close to it (Legally). As some other arguments made, also helps conservation. Domestic Rhinos (While hilarious) Wouldn't be a bad idea. So if we are domesticating Wild animals for ANY REASON, let it at least be that one.

If that is normal and healthy behavior then eating a human because an animal is hungry is too. Also you said that animals trying to hunt humans are dangerous. This is an asinine video. Messi's owners themselves have assisted in creating legislation in Russia to outlaw the private ownership of exotic cats. Messi is a very rare exception to the rule that wild cats are extremely dangerous. Even if they don't attack their owners, they play rough, and it only takes one dig, from one claw, to inflict a fatal injury. Wolves are naturally social creatures; with the exception of African lions, cats are not. It has been 10,000 years since people began to domesticate wolves, and even nowadays wolf-dog hybrids are far more dangerous than ordinary domestic dogs. The idea that people ought to be able to own wild cats as pets is ludicrous -- and unfair to the an9mals themselves.
