~Education is Key~
-----------
Welcome to MASpets! A channel dedicated to providing high quality information about exotic, alternative, and unique pets, as well as traditional ones. This channel supports the freedom of pet owners to care for the species of their choice as long as that animal has been shown to thrive in human care under the right conditions. We strongly believe that facts and education, not admonition, is the best policy for encouraging potential pet keepers to choose the best pet for their living situation. We believe there is no such thing as a ‘good pet’, and do not promote any particular species as pets, however we understand that the desire of some to own something different is essential to their expression and existence as an individual. Whether you are considering a pet, or are just interested in the subject, this channel invites you to become informed about the exciting world of animal diversity.
There are hundreds of species of exotic pets! Some examples include: fennec fox, porcupine, serval, wallaby, boa constrictor, rainbow crab, bush baby, zebra, squirrels, ostrich, kinkajou, macaws, springhare, lemur, leopard gecko, tarantula, capybara, sloth, owl, cockatoo, muntjac deer, lion, short-tailed opossum, raccoon, scorpion, green iguana, and more.
Domesticated exotic pets include domestic rats, hamster, gerbil, goldfish, guinea fowl, Bengal cat, peacock, fainting goats, and sugar gliders.
We post introductory videos to animals that can be kept as pets, care tips, address controversies, legal issues, and more. Please see the posted links for more information about this subject!

I have a major in wildlife bio and I was talking to a family member about sloths. They would not believe me when I said they are dangerous to handle, especially from the wild. I going to send her this video.😂

Melissa Smith, What’s your opinion on my idea of tigers as potential guard animals/attack animals. I was perhaps overly criticized and I would even say demonized on Facebook for voicing my opinion as a great idea 💡.

If someone were rich enough to build a giant cage around their property like a moat or something then why not? But a free-roaming tiger is not safe for anyone.

@@Maspets That makes sense. Though I’ve herd that kings that had moats filled with crocodiles is a myth. My face book criticizers that said tigers are wild animals and don’t make good pets and especially don’t make good guard animals failed to mention the fact that most people don’t even bother to train house cats and even dogs. However there is a man in Africa that has a lion to guard his farm at night from crop raider’s. Also you do a video on old Mexico 🇲🇽 that country is known for its lax laws regarding exotic pets. I’d herd you can even own tigers and other big cats and such animals without a license or permit. Though the animal must be captive bred. But I’m not so sure about parrots though.

Don't listen to this guy. He's lying to you. He actually supports the arrest and jailing on retirees trying to rescue and rehome stray cats. He doesn't love animals at all. Only if they're on his KZread channel earning him money.
