they are not normally social. Males always live alone while females will sometimes hang with other females. One nice thing about them is they only empty their bowels and bladder about once a week, on the ground, never in the trees. maybe the fact it is disabled has made it realize on some level, it needs the people to feed him.

Life seems pointless and trivial and meaningless a lot of the time. I should just ditch my life and go work with animals but you know the saying 'No matter where you go, there you are'. You cant run from problems you take them with you

He quit, sold everything , bought a van and got two dogs and went off to work at some animal rescue place. Well, guess what, he was still miserable, couldn't get along with anyone over time and kept taking off for new places. I have not seen him in 20 years. I hope he has done some inner work to be happy.

It sounds like he did all that because he thought thats what you do if youre depressed and unhappy with your job and your life. In other words, he did it for the wrong reasons, because you cant run away from yourself. People who make a real commitment to animal welfare do it because they love animals and want to make it their life, not because they are unhappy people. Sorry you both lost touch

Sloths aren't as slow as people think they are. In the trees an adult can move about 15 feet a minute.

It’s pretty incredible how Chuwy went from being a wild animal to being a member of the family. Sloths are so special 😍

@@wioi a lot of people tend to humanize animals because they don't read their body language correctly. For example when an animal licks or "hugs" another pet it can be a sign of dominance rather than friendship. But not in this case I'm certain.

The dog trying to eat plants might show they were trying to imitate and be closer to it as to be socially accepted, so naturally seeing how slow and calm the sloth is, perhaps the dog tried to imitate that too. Domesticated dogs are very very good at being social and learning how to befriend people/other species.

They dont have the movement speed or muscle power to do any damage oddly enough. The claws look scary but they were made for grip as oppose to defense.

Sloths are such beautiful animals with their permanent smile and slow and gentle ways!!

Chuwie’s sweet, happy expression at 0:25 is killing me! These two are just the most precious of loves.

People who take the time out of their day and commit to as much time as it needs to take as much resources as it needs to take to care for the well being of a hurt animal is just a phenomenal person. People who are truly genuinely loving with big hearts are usually the ones that care for animals in this way. Much respect, keep it going..

Dogs really are some of the most accepting and compassionate beings on the planet. Chewie was all in pain and probably traumatized and seven welcomed him in and they became best friends it's so sweet. He's really got his spirit back 😊

In tears. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!

I love beagles. I love Sloths. I love kind-hearted people that save animals. It's safe to say that I love this video. But the way the two interact it's a real bond of friendship. I cried.

One of the most extraordinary cross species friendships I have ever seen. Simply heart warming and shows how much we humans still have to learn about acceptance and tolerance. Great credit goes to Haydee and Juan Carlos for their magnificent care for these lovely creatures.

how does this show that humans still have to learn about acceptance and tolerance? this actually shows that humans are amazing as these people took that sloth in and nursed it back to full health. whilst also clearly taking great care of a dog also, so yeah wtf are you actually slabbering on about lol

@@dannymorrow6024 Yeah, I don't get why people always say this. Humans are also animals that make plenty of cross-species friendships with other animals all the time. Mammals in general are pretty capable of emotionally understanding one another. It's cute af, but no different than a human and a cat loving each other, for example.

I never knew how happy a sloth being besties with a dog could make me!! That was absolutely adorable 😍😍

The heart of a dog and the heart of a sloth doesn't seem to be all that different. Kindness meets kindness.

Imagine having a sloth crawling around your home.

And we humans just can't get along...this is a beautiful relationship and they don't bother about how "different" the other is ; they simply accommodate ☺️😍

Watched this open-mouthed. You are amazing people, rescuing a sloth, and I’d had no idea that a sloth could be this friendly and loving. Watching Chuwie and Seven together is one of the loveliest things I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing this.

Amazing to see Chewie the Sloth and Beagle friend interact. In watching Chewie wanted a cuddle and was smiling. An unusual relationship, who'd of thought it? Lovely to see them both bonding ❤️

The beagle is thrilled to have a buddy that will also pet him.

Omg.. Come on Guys... " Hey, that sloth was petting a dog" Says no one ever... That is no one except... The DoDo!!! Making me ALWAYS smile through doom and gloom ❤

So cute! I’ve not ever seen a sloth so active with another animal.

Sloths are absolutely fascinating! They seem so human-like in their expressions sometimes. Like a child. Petting that dog was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Then add to that the love and compassion of that beautiful dog (and those people of course) such a lovely story ❤

A Sloths is truly one of God's most humblest creatures, and his friendship with that dog is so heartwarming to where it should be a movie made with these two...

I've never seen a sloth act this way. We know so little about animals.

I know it's in their nature to be so slow...but I really feel bad that they can't get away (quickly enough) during wild fires. :( They are so beautiful. And this is a beautiful relationship.

You know how when you're around people with too much energy you get anxious or irritable? Hanging out with a sloth would be the most relaxing experience, to be slow and in no rush. No goal, just hanging out.

Dogs are definetly angels, not only do help and love humans but Also they do it with other species .. great Job You guys.. thanks God people like You exist really
