Great video. I'm currently re building a 440 into a 505 and it is the better 440 block with the rib on the side. We don't really care too much about the year, mold or shift, but its cool to know. And if it was a problem mold, we don't want to know since its almost ready to go together, 😂😂. GM did similar things with their blocks, but i think Chrysler was the most straight forward of them all.

Nice scores on the screwdrivers... I've got an old bell telephone sledge hammer the type with the hole in the head for the spike in the pole to step on.. I love that hammer but the handle is on the way out, thanks for the tips on setting the handle gooing to pickup some of the Mohawk.
@SuperSatelliteGarage4 ай бұрын
I do it the opposite way by holding the hammer upright and hitting the butt on the floor (same effect) bringing the weight of the head to snug on the handle, but will try your way next time. Flea markets are a thing of the past in my neck of the woods - but they were great. As for tools, I can't wait until Spring/Summer when the occasional swap meet is on (another dying thing around here) and guys my age and older just want to get rid of tools - GOOD tools for next to nothing. Great video - Thanks!
@moparnut62864 ай бұрын
The tools are all cool and I have some pretty old craftsman tools back to the 60s and late 50s..which are great tools...and flea markets are great places to find cheap good quality USA tools. But to say that harbor freight does not have much is not true there are still lots of cheap tools out there if you do your research, that are on par with snap off and Mac..etc. By the way snap on has been getting worse at honoring their warranties..while others like HFT have gotten much better walk in and get a new tool no questions asked or go online with some companies and receive a replacement in a few day free...... I say to a new guy or gal do not go into debt to buy your tools and do not breakdown to pressure to being in the cool club of tools.. It is the man or woman that makes the tool not the other way round.. Cheaper good tools will make you just as much money as the high end tools.. And in the end when you can afford the high end you can choose to buy them or not... I have plenty of freinds that regret going into debt 100k 150k just in hand tools... For a job they now hate.
