Bought a '69 Swinger out of central, west Texas in the spring. Original owner still had it, had slid a RR powertrain in place of the 340 back about '78-'79. Definitely a lot of '70's "Budget hot rodding" done to it, busy reversing all of that and has the US Car Tool chassis catalog thrown at it. Best thing? Not an original car, never will be again, so I am free to make it a great restomod

Probably was his dad that stole the six pack, son was driving it like a hot rod Lincoln, crashed, fixed the crash damage, no lesson learned, so Dad shut him down.

Hmm...I never thought of it but it was taken a few months after his first child was born. I need to ask his wife what she did with it...

The motor can be saved and I would not go above $1200 for the car. Good Luck!

SUPER FIND! Even though you have known about it all along... What state are you in? With that wind, maybe somewhere in the great plains? I would love to start with something that nice! I'll be following along about this one. Just subscribed!

Love the 71s people are stubborn about holding on to cars. It costs more and more money to fix them every year parts are through the roof

    I've seen the '71s & 72's range ( RR's) from $15k and up ... And UP! . . . A N D U P ! But I'd see where the seller wants first and go from there (naturally). You sure that 383 can't be saved?

It's a Road non-Runner. It looks very straight and judging by the interior, I'd believe the 30k miles that are said to be on it. I'd like to know if the owner is realistic on price because that looks to be a decent car to work on if it's not a pile of rust underneath.

First, let me say, that motor, is salvageable. Second, you were trying to buy it, for 40 years? To everyone reading this, don't you just hate it, when people, have these cars, and they would rather, have them sit and rust away? That has happened to me several times! Right now, I'm trying to buy, an Impala wagon, that's been sitting 10+ maybe years. What,... the.....hell?!
