What a beautiful pattern! I saw one for sale in a craft store for $90! It was about the size of a table runner - or bell pull. The background was made from 3 strips. It was gorgeous!

I Like it, the colora are bright and I love how they pop with the black around them. I also love the zebra fabric border. Great try for a first time.

This is a wonderful block. I’m thinking of skipping the corners on the inner square and putting in a 12” finished quilt block instead. The rest of the block would frame the inner block nicely. I’m also thinking of using more neutral colors for the outer points to unify everything. Thank you so much for sharing this block and your talent. I love this.❤️

Love the fish quilt❣️ So lovely❣️ I went to a Quilt Show mainly to visit the Vendors 😍 One Vendor was selling a few completed quilts as well as patterns…it was the last day of the show and she had marked down one of her quilts to where I could justify buying her work. She wasn’t local and was a long arm quilter and as I was buying it and a lovely panel and the pattern she’d designed for it, there were a few ladies sitting there. I was so excited for my purchase I blurted out “oh my! I can’t get a quilt this size long armed for this price let alone the cost of the fabric and time spent piecing it! It is so beautiful, I love it!” I later ended up contacting this person (who lived in another state) and bought my fabric for the panel and pattern from her. ❤ I like to back my quilts with flannel.🥰

You may not read this but when similar things have happened to me, its usually because rounded areas were not pinked or clipped around, batting or flannel not used on havkside of scrap pieced item. One other gotcha for me is not pressing the right side seams prior to stuffing. Over the years these have resolved "failed projects into successes. Great learning experience if notong else. 🤓

Could you use something else as a filling instead of batting? I am thinking old flannel layers, old towels, old t-shirts, etc.

Love these coasters. What weight and type of batting are you using the keep the coasters from allowing the glass on the coaster to wobble? I love hearing you describe your thinking process when you make your videos.
