I kept muttering, "Black border before the zebra..." and you DID IT! Personally, I love this quilt! Lively and fun! 💖
I love the different shades of black and gray. They give movement and dimension to the busy and brightly colored scrappy strips. The whole quilt is beautiful and very well done!

Completely agree. Sometimes you stop when you've got a good thing.

Yes, it is perfect.
Hmmm This was marvelous, toss all of your misgivings. I appreciated 'the everything' about this quilt. I would rerecord it and just say "Isn't it Gr--reat!" Because it is. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love thise gorgeeous brights with the rich darks, this project is gorgeous! Exactly the type of quilt I would want to snuggle up in on a winter day for a splash of brightness.
Totally balanced. Satisfying regardless of our distraction with scrappiness.
Yeah, standing here making deviled eggs for our youngest son and my hubby. And the best ever quilting content just flashed across my screen. Thanks so much Norah as love both your creativity and kind heart. Hugs from Maine.
It's so pretty, with those vibrant colors and black! I'd love to see those squares set on point! I've seen similar joining of small scraps, but when they are all seen together, it can look messy and undefined. Adding a sold color and a design, makes it more fun and cheerful.
I live the black-grey scrappiness, nice easy lap quilt to put together - I might get my scraps out!
I really like it. I'm drawn to this kind of scrappiness and what a great pattern for using up scraps. Thanks for sharing.
Mixing the gray and black is brilliant as not all blacks are the same and it shows if you were hoping for a true match. Also like that the blocks are big
Whatever you were aiming for, I love the finished result 🥰
Love everything about this quilt … especially the multi tones of black/grays/navy!
I'm a scrapaholic and I love your quilt.
Looks great! Be proud of any thing you create!
I love the vibrant colors with the black background. Looks amazing!
I love this....One of the best ideas I have seen for using up scraps,,,
I love this quilt top. I am a scrappy person and this is so appealing. Thank you.
I really love what you did with the black grey together, it uses more scraps and it looks fantastic
Ooh! A whole quilt llike that would be sooo pretty!
I think it looks awesome! Love the zebra print border.
It's lovely. Don't doubt yourself
I love it! Great use of scraps with tons of color and contrast! 😊❤
I Love this unique use of leftover scraps. This looks great. I have some leftover black, gray and white floral fabric and I think it would make a nice border for this kind of quilt.
I love your quilt! It’s so fun watching you work and try different things.
Super cool idea, I have a lot of crumb blocks, I think I will chop them up to these sizes and do that with some of them, I like the scrappy dark blocks, looks good. Tks love,it. Can’t wait till your next video.
I know you had a "vision" for this quilt but personally I love it. I really like the scrappy black as I think it gives it a lot of visual interest. I think overall it looks great and very interesting. It inspires me for another use for my scraps! Thank you for sharing.
I totally love that quilt. I think the juxtaposition of the brights and the black is very stunning. I would love to have that quilt. In fact, I just put that one at the top of my list to make from a bunch of my scraps left over from a quilt I made a long time ago.
Love it! I got an idea from someone, so made a very long roll of scrappy fabric, 2.5” wide, and then just cut off whatever lengths I needed when i needed them. Then you can add to the roll any time you like. Works brilliantly! Deb x 🤗
Love the black/gray vs all the color.
I love this quilt color choice
Do not think like that. It is beautiful and very individual. Lovely quilt
I love this. I think it’s very dynamic.
What a fun scrappy quilt, Norah!
I like the quilt. A great way to use scraps !
I just LOVE your quilt! All the comments about "better" choices or what one would do personally are all valid..for the individuals who made them. The point is we are all different and unique and all express our personalities and creativity differently! Thats the beauty of the creative process. Your choices are unique to you and they are great! For what it's worth, im a new fan! Thank you Norah! ❤
I like it! You’ll probably like it more when you come back to it. Thanks for sharing!
That gave me LOTS of inspiration! Thank you. I love your creativity!
I love it ! I will have to try it . I have no zebra fabric and I'm determined not to buy more fabric. So, I'll see what I can come up with. Did I mention that I love it. Thanks to your friend for the idea.
I really like the gray and black frames. I would like to see Joyce’s version and maybe try this out.
I love it! Gorgeous! 💕💕
I love your work. Picasso inspired.😊
Really liking these blocks except the directional teacups lol. The thin black border looks good I was thinking a thin orange border but black looks great with the zebra fabric which is the best border out. I love your backing this is really good don’t give up on it like you say put it away for a few days then relook and you’ll love it I’m sure 🟧⬛️
Great idea! Love this quilt! So many ideas, so little time!
I totally love this and am saving it!! ❤
I really like this idea! I thought it turned out beautiful and I am fully inspired to get started on one of my own. Thank you for sharing.
Oh man, I love the dark hues !
You had made a very pleasant piece. Visually the movement is fun.
Really like the quilt. I am amazed as I am not usually drawn to scrappy quilts. You did an amazing job
Love the end result. Think your right about solid black.
I love this! You inspired me to make this. I am always looking for scrap quilt patterns🥰
Awesome Nora! Love all your choices! Hope to see you soon at IMQG!
I really like the blacks and gray, all your content is great! 🥰🥰
I love it very much!! I love almost everything you do. ❤❤❤❤
I love the pieced black, gray, navy.❤
I think this is a very successful quilt including the multitoned 'black'! I am working on two scrappy projects where i just crumb piece. One involves 10 by 12 blocks I'll finish in strips then quilt the strips of ten by the length, then attach the strips! Fun stuff!
Love it! Love your pattern and colors!
Great use of color and value!!
I love this and your backing is fabulous too! Great inspiration! Thank you. 👏👏👏
I think it is a very pretty scrap quilt. Thank you.
Beautiful!
I’ve made a smaller version of this block but I just love the larger one. Thanks for sharing ❤
Loving the black gray beautiful ❤❤❤
13:53 14:07 Hi, I really think it is a good idea. Put it on point and it looks even prettier, in mine opinion. Thank you for sharing. Evelyn
I really love this one!!
Wow i love the crazy wild colors.
I think it's really cool! I love the zebra border!
I like it and using scraps rocks, you can save only so many scraps and then you feel overwhelmed…..
No, it's perfect just how it is. The dark is definitely dark...black. I didn't even realize there was navy in it
I have a lot of red white and blue scraps. Maybe this would work for a Vet's quilt. Thank you for the idea.
I really like this one. I loved the pieced black borders and will try that myself soon.
Hope the fuchsia gets used in the future but what you ended up with is fab! x
I like the cohesiveness!
That is beautiful and brilliant, you are being too hard on yourself with your critique of the outcome. The genius of scrappiness is that it is what it is and it’s supposed to impromptu and the beauty comes in its randomness and scrap this. I do love my scrap and my brights, and I will use this concept. Mixing the black and dark charcoal really added far more movement than just a solid black. It kept with the theme of the scrappiness and movement of the piece. I subscribed and hope to see more from you.

I agree Nora, you couldn’t decide if it is cool or too random, I think it’s cool BECAUSE it’s random. Love the scrappy solids, way more interesting than just one colour 😊
Love your quilt. Gets me thinking about more possibilities. I have lots of 5 inch charm squares, which l could sew together and cut the strips from, either trimming to 4 1/2" wide or leaving 5 inches and adjusting measurements. Or what if I used all blue scraps with red or yellow scraps pieced for the contrasting fabric. Thanks for your taking the time to record this video. Fun to watch your process.
Every piece has a ‘would’ve, could’ve, should’ve’ moments, but I think it turned out great! Love the black/gray/navy aspect!
I really love this. The monochrome idea is fantastic. I like the sashing and the backing. This is going on my very looooong list of quilts to make.
I love it!
I love this! Thank you so much for the tutorial.
It looks beautiful ♥️
i think you are too critical of your work. it looks great:) i love the thin strip of black all around and the zebra print is great:) the back is beautiful! i'm motivated to give this a try to use up my scraps. i have so many!
Really like this I will definitely try this
