Hi guys! Let's wash our day with big colors!! It's a fun and easy to make quilt pattern that is one of my favourites. Enjoy ❤
The pattern is called "Rail Fence"! It's ADORABLE!

Yes, the quilt block is a rail fence, I'm not sure if there's a name for using it for a rainbow color wash 😄

@@seweasybysandy Yes, the pattern is Rail Fence. The colors you chose don't change the name of the pattern. I love the pillow you made. It's darling!
Sweet Sandy, I love your tutorials! Your soft voice and your laugh just double the fun of learning new things, especially how to use up scraps.

Thanks for mentioning that they were pins! 😃 I thought it was buttons to be used as closures. Then they were gone. I was confused.😆

this is so lovely! i remember in primary school we made a cushion cover for a mother's day gift with this patchwork made out of squares of 3 strips. it was all hand sewed and didn't have the colour wash effect but your quilt design reminded me of it. my mum still has the cushion I made her almost 30 years ago.

That's so special 🥰
Last November I made a random-width-strip rail fence quilt project, it was a heat pad table runner for my mother in law. We do big thanksgiving dinners at her house and she has had to use bath towels as hot pads in the past. I had all these lovely warm purples and autumn browns that were perfect. I love a good bright rail fence pattern, yours looks great! Makes me think of bright candy wrappers.

Rail fence. I do it with 2.5” strips giving 6.5” blocks.
It's so cute! You should add a lining to your pillowcase.

They’re great blocks. Classic. I think I’d make them from long 1.5”strips and then cut them down to the square size I wanted.

Yes, if you're repeating combinations that saves you loads of time!
With your colorful fabrics I’m so curious to see if other parts of your life are so bright, or is it mostly the quilting so you aren’t overwhelmed? Also how many of these rainbow masterpieces have you kept out on display in your home? ❤

Hi! I'm pretty much a glass half full kind of person so I always try to bring the excitement to everything I do 😄 For now it's just this pillow, I try to sell or gift what I do so I don't hoard. I have a LOT of pet blankets though 😁 And mug rugs!!
Thank you for sharing.
The pattern is a mini rail fence pattern.
thank you ❤
I have seen this pattern called Split Rail Fence or just Rail Fence. It's in an old quilt book of mine withe the first name. This pattern works up really cute on the diagonal.
What are those cute little pins you are using? So cute!

I've had them for ages, maybe from Clover but I'm not sure. They're sewable and flat headed, which works well for me. Have a great day!

Hi lovely colours and patterns, tip use chopsticks as turning tool they are blunt so don't go through fabric and best of all free
