Tabarnac! Of all the things I hate about these AI generated stories, I find the stupidly happy endings to be the worst. Any real human, after being forced through what OP had, would remind Jack that there’s probably a restraining order against him, and would tell him that his chance to make amends stopped on the first day in court. So if he has regrets now, he should be extra certain to apply these lessons with the next child he helps make, because there’s no way he grew up being raised by his mother, and didn’t know what kind of person she was under the skin. Which means he sided with his mother for the sake of loyalty, not because she was right. And then he listened to all the testimony, and found ZERO inconsistencies between his mother’s purgers and things he saw happen. So this slow and deliberate re-integration into his daughter’s life… Canadians tend to be more polite and civil than Americans. They are by no means stupid, and they absolutely will go full mama bear scorched earth on a motherfucker who threatens their kids. Our idea of a mama bear is a WalMart Karen throwing a fit that HER kid deserves and is owed chocolate cake. Canadian mama bears will murder you in such a way that it looks like you hit some black ice, spun out of control, over an embankment, and ended up under a frozen river, Un pied down and knocked out. Not to get a Whovian up in here, but: “Night will fall and the dark will rise when a good man goes to war.” And Canada maintains a list of people who may not enter the country. They’re like Roadhouse… Always be nice. Until it’s time not to be nice. The most vulgar cuss word in French Canadian is “Tabarnac!” All French Canadian cuss words are parts of a church building, in this case the Tabernacle. And who knows… that might be the Quebecois version of saying that the 2yr old has to go make boom boom. Or when US radio DJs talk about a lot of shizzle to give away, because it bypasses the FCC’s guidelines. So, based on all that, why would someone think it’s wise to antagonize them. American trades more with Canada than any other trading partner.

Wait… OP was raised in Quebec, and claims she didn’t know how American culture works? And that she’d call someone a redneck as an insult? Has nobody seen Letterkenny? There are quite a few rednecks from Quebec. And honestly, any American family capable of pursuing a Ph.D in France, therefore conducted IN FRENCH… that is not a redneck family. And how did they raise a child in America who learned enough French to move to Paris and study post-graduate work in French, but also use “dirty foreigner” as an insult.

Pretending that OP isn’t a sloppy AI, your grandparents didn’t save you. You just benefitted by accident from them protecting the family’s reputation. If word got out that one of their grandkids got put into the system, people would talk. It was only ever about their rep. And as soon as you weren’t meekly obedient, suddenly they had to crush you mercilessly, or else they’d get a rep of not being in charge. Grandma felt the need to call you up and put you down… put you in your place… to protect their rep. Everything they ever gave you either had strings attached, or benefitted them at least as much as it did you.

The financial side of the art world is…literally unpredictable. There were some tests centered around music rankings (because it takes too long to make paintings). I won’t try to quote the paper’s methodology, because it’s been a bunch of years, and I don’t want to misrepresent these fine peoples’ good work. But with the same set of songs, in groups of 100 people, when the group finally chose which was the best song (the group defined what “best” meant for themselves), it was a different song every time. Musical tastes of the group weren’t the deciding factor. What mattered is that there was always a particularly charismatic person who championed whichever song won, that time. That’s how fine art goes. We’d probably call them influencers now, but when they did the study, they were called gatekeepers. Add to that how works by “the great masters” is basically cryptocurrency without the blockchains. They gain value based on fad status, and retain their value because the wealthy-stupid think they’re valuable. You can now buy shares of an art portfolio, so even poor folks can “own” art. Here’s an example of elevating stupidity to masterpiece status. There was an artist in Paris, named Rodin. (His old house is now the museum where many of his works are on display). In his younger days, he saw some unfinished statues of… someone a few generations before him. If I say a name, I’ll probably get it wrong, and who it was doesn’t matter anyway. What matters is that these were unfinished works, and then whoever it was died. Years later, Rodin saw them. Think of a nice rectangular block of marble, and the left half has been carved away so only the left half of Apollo is visible. And the right half is still smooth rectangles. Rodin thought it was on purpose, like it was meant to be Apollo emerging from the stone. Rodin thought that was the coolest shit ever. So his house in Paris that is now a museum has a bunch of statues he intentionally made like that. The most famous being la Danaïde, if you want to Google it. Picasso never sold any of his paintings… only when the fame of his mental illness and death spread around, did his works start selling for millions. If his stuff was so much better, some savvy art collector would have bought it all up early, then re-sold it. But every expert art critic of the day saw his stuff, and gave a hard pass. The only thing that’s changed is the fame. So when OP says that his art teachers in high school are telling him he’s got what it takes to be a big deal…I’m not buying it. Full-time professional art dealers don’t know what’s going to blow up and what’s going to flop. And high school art teachers only know how to make art, not how to monetize it. If they did, they’d be professional artists. I mean even, OP could very well be as good as Picasso ALREADY, and nobody could predict whether his stuff would get big. So, get a degree in art because you love art. Or do some specialized kind of art, like street-corner silly portraits, police mug shot artist, technical illustrator, etc. just don’t listen to education or career advice from a freeware AI.

to be honest I think op should sue his brother for deformation because he did destroy his life and what goes around comes around. and to be honest I kind of agree with op that nobody in the family can force him to forgive them. all of them abandoned him over some stupid texts that could have been easily proven as false if they are just asked for evidence. to be honest I think people need to ask more for evidence and to verify it before acting! especially if they are family! this is the 21st century anybody can frame anybody with so-called ‘ texts’ and say they murdered somebody for example. but if the evidence doesn't line upwards really going on then there is seriously something wrong. also I definitely think the brother deserves to lose literally everything in his life especially his inheritance. I think everybody should write whales saying that op gets everything ( along with any children they might have) so they can make up for everything they did. also I really think a lot that States “ if you believe somebody Who Framed another person you are automatically liable for any damages done and will lose all property, jobs, and bank accounts to the person who was Framed” To put the fear of God in them because nobody wants to lose everything. I think the brother was really a piece of work who doesn't deserve what he had. and all because he was jealous of his brother's wife. the parents are equally to blame because they always treated him like The Golden Child and does he didn't know right from wrong. we are forged by the people around us and he definitely was forged the wrong way. at the end of the day everybody in the story besides op and his current wife don't deserve any happiness until they really make up for this catastrophic mistake. I also hope the brother at least gets a decade or two imprison as well as several finds! I understand he might have a little kid but he should thought about that before framing his brother. also the nobody ever think the verify by Stealing the guys phone? I mean all the evidence is on that phone. they could have literally done anything else but just abandon and kicking them out of the family. because at the end of the day if somebody knows you very well they can easily manipulate you and evidence these days can easily be tempered with by skilled enough person. so let that be a lesson to everybody else going for something similar. try and sue them and see where it goes because in a lawsuit things will be brought up to the surface and you might be able to prove your innocence. don't let your emotions get the better of you and just go straight for the throat of the situation. because at the end of the day that could save your life.

It was absolutely selfish what the o.p.'s wife did and a cowards way out. She was the one who decided to break the family she had. Sure her family was pissed at her, why wouldn't they be? They had that right to be mad. But in stead of facing the challenges that She HERSELF made by her own decision decide to take the most selfish and uncaring way out. She hurt them even more by doing that. She is the ultimate coward. My heart and blessings go out to the o.p.'s family.

Oh yes I was definitely hooked on this journey with the poster because every second of her downfall brought me a smile on my face and joy in my heart to see her crumble and father needs knowing every day she has to live with the fact that not only did she do something really screwed up behind her ex-husband's back for a good amount of time but it finally caught up to her and she sees that she could have been happy with her ex-husband if she just would have walked away from the air partner in general and kept her mouth shut but instead because she feels that she had the biggest balls in the room to say yes that this is what she wanted which was the divorce she got exactly what she deserved that's basically all I'm saying besides the story just making me laugh
