The copyright symbol had some complex rules in US laws; they mostly ended in 1989, but prior to that, a "c 1988 Game Company" could be legally deficient and result in losing copyright that a proper copyright symbol could have protected.

The title screen art reminds me of Ghost in the Shell - Masamune Shirow. Game has a slick presentation. No doubt if this came out in 1999 is would've been a big hit.

These are amazing finds. And yeah, I don't get what the deal with collectors is, the whole idea of "losing money" by sharing the rom sounds weird to me. There are high quality scans of the Mona Lisa and there have been accurate reproductions of that famous painting, yet the OG Mona Lisa is still worth Millions of dollars. By their logic, the original painting should be 'completely worthless' now because a reproduction exists out there. Dumping a rom doesn't (or shouldn't) devalue the OG cartridge. So it's basically just a hoarder thing: "I have this and you don't! Har-har!"

I use an old Sony DVD Recorder that converts S-Video , composite and Scart to HDMI, also a big CRT HD Sony TV that offers me really good compatibility with the DVD recorder. SO basicly I connect my 240p 3DO and other S-Video consoles (like N64) to an S-Video Switcher (with remote) connected to an S-Video Splitter , in order to sent the image to 6 different screens and devices as upscalers, My ELGATO Game Capture device or my ols Sony DVD recorder. This one upscales all my S-Video and Scart signals to up 1080i a pretty nice way to decrease to the minimum the input lag and watch in the best quality at my old Sony CRT HD TV... To be honest my setup is much more complex than this, cause it includes Different kind of cables and consoles, like COMPONENT consoles, COMPOSITE consoles, Switchers and Splitters by each kind of signal, differents upscallers for all thos kind of cables,a big Proyector, a Home Theater and the sound converted to Digital, WIth very long cables to connect all this to the different 3 zones at my game room, that goes all the way to the floor in big metallic cable conduits ... and btw also Controller extensions trough the same metallic cable conduits to reach the 2 drawwers were I save my console controllers for playr 1 and 2.

Seems like most of the prototype games you find are pretty far along in development or basically finished. Were these cartridges ever used for development purposes or were they mainly just created to send out to reviewers shortly before release?

-I’m better than you. I preserve games by buying physicals, I even have unreleased games with just one copy. -Really? How do you preserve them? -I encase them so they won’t ever be touched. Do that with digital!! -Well, I make back ups often, if my console breaks and the servers go down, all I need is a hack or an emulator to play again. What happens if those carts and discs break? Did you dump them so you can play them again? Did you even play or test them? -Why, no. But is preserved. -Sure. “Preserved”.
