I had to reschedule my dive certification today because I was unable to equalize my right ear. Wish I saw this video before today. I was trying the first method during my dive, but that did not work for me. While watching the tutorial, I tried the third method and I believe that is the best fit for me. The third method cleared my right ear, which was still kinda blocked. Thank you.

I don’t have the opportunity to dive very frequently, but every time I go on a trip I come back to this video for the in-depth and easy to follow refresher. Would give it a like every time if I could!

I still don’t get how we get out the water from the mask through nose when most of the water is in the mask not in the nose .. plus if you open a bit lower part of the mask the water shouldn’t fill mask even more ? 🫣

Disgusting that this demo is given by a course director whilst on his knees. Figure out your buoyancy bud. It's no wonder such poor instructors are getting churned out daily if they are being taught like this.

Question, sir. Let's say I have fully deflated my bcd underwater. I take a full deep breath. Let's say in that condition I gain a neutral buoyancy. Then I inflate my bcd orally. Usually I get positive buoyancy even before I take another breath from the regulator. In my understanding that I don't add air from anywhere. I just move some of the air from my lung to the bcd, but then it change the buoyancy. How come? How could it happen?

I absolutely don't want to find out,(don't wanna get any bad habits) but if you held your breath and swim downwards, is that also theoretically dangerous? Obviously that's negative presure instead of positive

At 5:20 it's a good idea to give the octopus while gently pushing the purge button to clear all the water from the regulator. Or else the panicked diver will breath lots of water. But don't push too hard....
