In the unlikely even your regulator starts to free flow then you can still make a safe ascent to the surface by using the Free Flowing Regulator skill.
How to organize the Free Flowing Regulator demonstration for the PADI IDC Skills circuit:
Place yourself in the water too deep in which to stand. Place your scuba diving students in a straight line or half a circle. Adjust your BCD to become neutrally buoyant in fin pivot or hover position. Very slowly perform the steps of the Free Flowing Regulator skill with reminders and over exaggerated movements.
Tips for the Free Flowing Regulator demonstration skill:
1. Perform it slowly
2. Don't press the purge button to hard
3. Show that it is easy to breathe
