I'm trying to swap out my radiator, 79 J10, but how do you remove the trans cooling lines at the bottom of the radiator? Mine just wanna twist up and the side of the hoses towards the tranny seem to be press fit. That side does have a hex fitting but I'm afraid to mess up the lines.
Would you provide Amazon link to the camera you purchased? Thanks!

As far as parts and sensors are you just using 350 parts
Thank you! I just got the truck yesterday and am happy to see this will be such an easy install. In the middle of moving so I will need to do this after I get to my new address.
Oh man. An ode hose. Why didn't I think of that?
ive been driving mine with no power steering for a few weeks and my arms are massive now
I have been trying to figure this out for the whole year I have owned my used 2017 Honda CRV.. and just a quick minute after watching your video it is finally working! THANK YOU so much! Now I can enjoy a cooled off car 😊❤
Great job on fab.
You skipped over the entire part im worried most about (the timing disassemble)🤦♂️
If you are tanking the head off, you don't have to worry about it being in time because everything is coming off anyways.
Does the aftermarket camera still turns along the steering wheel while reversing?
Yes, its exactly like the factory camera, just everything will be in focus again.
Just about finished installing mine when I noticed there was only 3 oxygen sensor holes so thanks for clearing that up. I noticed that my steering shaft nut and bolt at 5:21 are touching so I'll have to grind off the extra 5/16'' of threads and one of my spark plugs are touching the header 'heat tape' and it may melt the rubber and I'll need to get gaskets and wire extensions Thanks for the help !
What’s the tool
Oop I heard that 10mm wrench fall into the underworld. You'll never see it again. But good video man. Helped me a ton
it could just be from up north, the salt used on northern roads does a number on any steel components regardless of the vehicle.
Omfgggg this is me today !!!! 😔
This is a very intuitive showcase. Well done!
HI!!2012 Honda Odyssey shorted the positive wire of the generator, the car does not start, what is the reason?
Do you have a volt/ohm meter? You will need to start check power starting at your main fuse and work your way around. I'd also check fuses, they tend to blow fuses when positive hits a ground
@@BentOaksGarage Thank you for your answer and help in solving the problem. I figured out the reason, it was the 125 A fuse that burned out
take the cab bolts out and lft the cad up off the rails and put a 4x4 wood block so you have room you need. Oh" and don't forget to cut the firewall flang out and why are you leaving the fenders on they will get a thrashing if you don't take them off.
I can’t get mine to set in the sensor. What am I doing wrong
Check under it and see if the screen has popped loose and might be blocking the hole and keeping you from installing the new sensor
Did you have to make any changes to the driveshaft? @Bentoaksgarage
Yes we did. Luckily we have a driveshaft company close that can modify them for us.
good video thanks
Is there any updates on doing cold side
I have the video footage, but the project has been put on hold until we can clear out some of these customer vehicles.
I’ve been thinking on boosting my 1st gen blazer in the near future
@@Little_blue_85nightmare one thing I can honestly say, whatever you think your budget is, triple it. The 383 Sanoma I built I thought 5K in the engine and maybe 2 or 3k in the body. Nope I have over 18K in it. But to be fair, I went will a Holley Sniper and Digital dash, but still that was only 3K combined. Its now in the paint shop getting a full Custom repaint (few grand more). But, I do get a lot of people coming up to me asking what I have done to my cars, and my most common response it "Its Stock"
@@Little_blue_85nightmare Also if you do it, and you get stuck, feel free to call and I might be able to give you a few pointers
I appreciate it
not sure that I'd have used a 1" impact to remove the head bolts. you want to get a long T-55 like the 3 " ones from Mac tools ($61.00) a 24 inch swing arm with a 24 inch snipe. Then the bolts come loose. they snap 3 or 4 times while the bolt twists 1/4 turn then POW bolt comes loose. All the impact is doing is twisting the bolt back and forth.
You really like the word garbage..know many people who own these and they never have had a issue,,only thing i agree with you on is the rear tire,,it does look cool but no matter what bike it affects the ride..my m109 has a big tire and it looks bad ass but is very hard to corner
Would it just be better to buy the motor instead of fixing the gaskets? My Dodge Journery has the same problem but everyone says to just buy a new motor.
You’ll save more money just fixing the cylinder head.
As @waltersun558 mentioned, it would save a couple of grand by just replacing the head gasket. It's one of the easiest engines to work on (IMHO) with lots and lots of room to get everything off.
On a 2007 Honda Odyssey how do I get contiuos power
Do you currently have any power? Or is it hit or mis?
😅😅😅
Thank you for this video I have a 2016 judge journey with the same problem I just can't seem to get anybody to do the work for me here in Palm Beach County Florida I'm trying to be all over 5 grand For a new motor.
I have to pull the engine and this helped me do some recon for the job. Thanks! Liked and subscribed. Nice clear and to the point
Tankyou ❤❤help me well
I install that way also, never cross threads. When in far enough the hose pulls off.
How was he wrong he said there was a weird noise, from your explanation and video, how was he one of those "but the customer is always right" people?
People always too cheap to pay a dealership, backyard tech messes it up and they now have to pay double, everytime 😆🤣😂
Or ya know, maybe they did it themselves, would be my guess. Even a small shop SHOULD know better.
True, but it has happened quite a few times in my place of work. Or not bolting the calipers back on another one lol
@JayDean21983 been there myself haha, we all be human
Hey, I sold you the right parts! Let's get iiit
Well he was still right it was making a noise 😂
Always match up new parts to old parts before installing.
If it fits it ships. 5 second or 5 inch warranty which ever comes first. 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve seen rotors worn all the way though, brake pads installed backwards, reversed lugnuts, two unbroken studs holding the wheel…
I’d be disputing that ticket in court 😂 it would be cop vs cop for me 😂
What engine mounts did you use on the frame?
We started with an Amazon set that was fairly cheap but found out the rubber core could not stand up to the HP we had and switched over to a one inch solid plastic piece that we drilled a hole completely through making it more of a solid mount instead.
@@BentOaksGarage I looked up a set similar to what you used. I had the same engine side mounts that you are using. I’m just doing a sbc 305 in my Sonoma. It was a good running engine in a el Camino. This is the first time doing this type of swap.

Man I was rooting for you so hard every time you went to fire it up.
Cheers. It was definitely a pain in the a**.
I had a Harley once and the anti-lock brakes locked up on the highway. I have a nice big facial scar from that. 1 Harley, 5 Big dogs. Everything you mentioned is correctable or just the way motorcycles are.
I have an 2006 bg k9< i put the ss anniversary cam in mine with a triple x carb mod and it will literally rip your hands off the handlebars. with the carb mod you have to run the original ss intake cover. you would swear its fuel infected.
I'm putting piese aluminum cross holes
Stock oil pans are better than monorosa there 9 quarts u might be able
Is that the 2.0 liter engine?
Yes, I love it when customers can't tell the mechanic the truth.
What did the customer say initially?
@@rusco321 So I was told two different stories about this. The first one was, they drove it home, and it didnt start in the morning when then got in it. The second was the son snuck their car out it the middle of the night. Another shop diagnosed it with "low" compression. But I cant see that either considering the carnage thats in the bottom end. When i ran my check, it had 30, 60, 0, 0 for compression. I told the customer what needed to be done and they had me put in a JDM motor and tranny. After it was all said and done, they ended up with a bill for $2,800.
