    I'm trying to swap out my radiator, 79 J10, but how do you remove the trans cooling lines at the bottom of the radiator? Mine just wanna twist up and the side of the hoses towards the tranny seem to be press fit. That side does have a hex fitting but I'm afraid to mess up the lines.

    Just about finished installing mine when I noticed there was only 3 oxygen sensor holes so thanks for clearing that up. I noticed that my steering shaft nut and bolt at 5:21 are touching so I'll have to grind off the extra 5/16'' of threads and one of my spark plugs are touching the header 'heat tape' and it may melt the rubber and I'll need to get gaskets and wire extensions Thanks for the help !

    HI!!2012 Honda Odyssey shorted the positive wire of the generator, the car does not start, what is the reason?

  • @BentOaksGarage
    @BentOaksGarage11 күн бұрын

    Do you have a volt/ohm meter? You will need to start check power starting at your main fuse and work your way around. I'd also check fuses, they tend to blow fuses when positive hits a ground

    take the cab bolts out and lft the cad up off the rails and put a 4x4 wood block so you have room you need. Oh" and don't forget to cut the firewall flang out and why are you leaving the fenders on they will get a thrashing if you don't take them off.

Nope I have over 18K in it. But to be fair, I went will a Holley Sniper and Digital dash, but still that was only 3K combined. Its now in the paint shop getting a full Custom repaint (few grand more). But, I do get a lot of people coming up to me asking what I have done to my cars, and my most common response it "Its Stock"

    not sure that I'd have used a 1" impact to remove the head bolts. you want to get a long T-55 like the 3 " ones from Mac tools ($61.00) a 24 inch swing arm with a 24 inch snipe. Then the bolts come loose. they snap 3 or 4 times while the bolt twists 1/4 turn then POW bolt comes loose. All the impact is doing is twisting the bolt back and forth.

    As @waltersun558 mentioned, it would save a couple of grand by just replacing the head gasket. It's one of the easiest engines to work on (IMHO) with lots and lots of room to get everything off.

    @@rusco321 So I was told two different stories about this. The first one was, they drove it home, and it didnt start in the morning when then got in it. The second was the son snuck their car out it the middle of the night. Another shop diagnosed it with "low" compression. But I cant see that either considering the carnage thats in the bottom end. When i ran my check, it had 30, 60, 0, 0 for compression. I told the customer what needed to be done and they had me put in a JDM motor and tranny. After it was all said and done, they ended up with a bill for $2,800.
