I ended up purchasing a 1996 Sea Ray 175 knowing that I had to put head gaskets on it. Little did I know I would be replacing the entire engine block. Luckily, this is a typical chevy 4.3 block. I was able to locate a core engine from a 2004 Sierra Pickup. The upside is in 2004, they use a better head design then they had in 1996. The block already had brass freeze plugs in it. I added new cam bearings and re-gapped the rings to the new block. Cleaned everything over and over and put it back together. From the purchase to the install this took me about 3 months.
