In my simple mind, the answeres would be 3, and absolute value of 3 and -3, the remainder of the solutions seem to be changing the equation. Someone who is smarter than I am, please explain why you would care about creating a negative... this seems overly complicated for the sake of complicating it.

When you subtract the cube of a number from it's square value and get the result positive, the number must be negative. Hence, try in iterative method starting from -1. For x=-1, it's not true. For x=-2, its true. For x=-3 onwards its the difference is increasing and going beyond the RHS. Hence, x=-2.

After using the quadratic formula to get: x = (-(-6) +/- sqrt((-6)^2-4x1x36))/2 simplify by factoring out 36 from the radical to get: x = (6 +/- 6 x sqrt(1-4))/2 --> x = 3 +/- 3 x sqrt(-3) = 3 +/- 3i x sqrt(3)

Polynomials with order 3 have at most 3 solutions. Arranging the eqn in another order: x^3 - 27 = 0 x^3 - 3^3 = 0 (x - 3) (x^2 + 3x +9) = 0 Apparently, x = 3 and there are 2 more complex solutions which can be obtained by quadratic formula. DONE😊

I could instantly detect there were no real solutions. From eq 1, if squared results in x^2 + 2xy + y^2 = 36. But eq 2 says xy = 36. This means that x^2 + 72 + y^2 = 36. This means that x^2 + y^2 = -36. This is impossible in the real world.

Я все умножил прибавил 1 и вывел из корня 379 , получилось. А зачем сложности. Чем сложнее объяснение тем скучно. Это задачи мне кажется для. Простачков которые не знают ази математики. Бабушке почти 80лет. Без всяких записей моментально дала ответ. Таджикистан.

先にxの範囲を x > -2 と決めてしまってから 1680を素因数分解後、一部計算して4つの連続した整数の積で表現すると 1680=8x7x6x5 となり、 x+6=8、x+5=7、x+4=6、x+3=5 から、x=2 と解きました。
