Thanks brother!
Hey Cameron. How many times does the winning post ID, not take up spend when moved to the winners adset? to me it happens nearly every time and to me it was pointless to turn off the DCT. THe creme does not rise to the top. Do u have an exmample of this?
Agreed, in the past it would but in 2024 it hasn't been pulling spend for anyone and over the last few months I've stopped even bothering to move the post ID. If a DCT is a winner I just pin it to the top of Ads Manager and continue testing more DCTs. I've taken a YT break to focus on my brand but when I come back I'll do some up to date strategy videos.

Oh! I see why all of these options are not working now, you said it was an update for 2024 but it's from 2023. Yep. Nothing you're showing here works any longer.
I know, this still worked at the start of 2024 but they began changing things in April. Here's newer updates: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3xrm5WvncaZnZc.htmlsi=3coUa0WZSzQ4-vIE kzread.info/dash/bejne/lomWks2fdZSepNI.htmlsi=h5rk2em7iIHsxCvV
If you have multiple different products, do you make a separate campaign or do you keep it all in one campaign?
I'll organize campaigns by avatar, if multiple products are relevant they can go in the same campaign. E.g. basketball shorts, shoes and basketballs can go in the same campaign, hockey skates would be in a different campaign.
Apreciate it!
No problem
where are you in Colombia? Nice video!!!
My man! <3
No problem!!
Doesn't work anymore - > 1. Show Fb post with comments only shows 1 (the best one) 2. In the Ad Posts there is no preview shown, only actions (publish, schedule, delete, create ads)
Yeah this video is old. Here's the latest: Full Way kzread.info/dash/bejne/lomWks2fdZSepNI.htmlsi=JLs9V6frivH56k3C Shortcut kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3xrm5WvncaZnZc.htmlsi=T5k9qC3qNM-31NYD (As you say, FB post with comments is back with only 1 top version so this isn't really needed but if it disappears again here's an alternative way of getting the top version fast)
Nice Video ! I just Wanted to Know What do you mean of 1CBO Per Avatar ?? Thanks
Create seperate CBO campaigns for each avatar category. If you are a sports shop you would have one campaign for a basketball avatar containing basketballs, jersys and shoes. You would put tennis gear in a different campaign for the tennis avatar.
Whats about if you are using pictures how would you go about it?
Use them as a template, change the actual text, branding and imagery but use the same layout.
@@ads_ace have you ever run every on they own ? Like primary text alone , then headline alone after that combine the top performing one to run a 3-2-2 ?
@@michaelmaignan nope, that defeats the point of it. You'd just be wasting spend on individual tests.

Hi Cameron.. i have the same problem of the girl/guy who has comment few days ago... in 2 days from the launch of the campaign (100€ daily) i have 2 sales only and one ad has the majority of he spent.. 2 weeks ago with interest targeting with the same creatives i had 6 sales on day 1.. have to wait until 7 days or turned it off before?
Hey, as I mentioned below, launching is always hard so I appreciate the frustration. Broad is a much bigger audience, so it can take longer to dial in than interests....and that could even be weeks. 😅 But try to get out of the habit of looking at how many sales you got on individual days. It doesn't matter how many sales a campaign/ad set or it gets on day 1, how did it do over the course of a week or even longer? I'm assuming that performance maybe didn't continue, or if it did what made you decide to switch targeting? Broad is a long term strategy, that doesn't mean you won't get better initial results using interest targeting, which is why I recommend a daily budget you could afford to lose each 30 day period. I recommend you and anyone launching a brand to watch this case study of my brand launch. You'll see I had terrible results for 3 weeks and performance was even declining, but I kept things running and when I figured out the offer and the creative, it took off and got better week over week as the algo dialed in from getting more and more conversions: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZ2Mx8GyddWtkto.htmlsi=_0FNbFjHZ0Q0WP7Q Now I haven't answered your question directly, as I can't give that kind of advice without seeing data, but what I do is I leave my campaign running and if I'm not getting sales I'm cycling in new creative once a week, until I find something that works.
@@ads_ace Wow, thank you so much for your amazing answer! Really appreciate it!
When the face is that pretty, I wasn’t listening to anything you’re saying😍
Thanks, you have to rewatch it and pay attention though haha 👨🎓
Where did you get this information? Is this in Meta’s documentation? Just curious..
Yeah Meta Blueprint originally, I've known it for a long time
Cheers, thanks for this
you're welcome!!
I'm running a single broad campaign and I see that is targeting mostly women between 35-44 y, should I start a second campaign with only these age and gender? I feel like I need a second campaign to reach more of this segment and maybe hit them again...when I'm doing this, facebook is warning me about audience fragmentation...so...I don't know...should I stay just with one just one campaign?
Hi! I did your method for my first campaign (2 adset with dynamic creatives and 30$ of budget because I have the daily limit spent imposed by meta) but after 4 days I have no sales! What do you recommend to do?
Launching is always hard. Has each ad set spent at least 3x the price of the product and has anyone been adding to cart?
@@ads_acesame with me but no to your ques
Thank you 🔥🔥
You're welcome!
Hi! How many days we need to wait after the launch of the first campaign (1 DCT against another DCT) ?? tnx
I’ll run each test for 1 week
Hi! for a business new account/new pixel with a 40/50$ daily budget ("daily spend limit" by meta 47$), do you recommend how many DCTs? Thank u!
I'd stick with two running at a time
Do you find this structure works for info as well as ecomm?
I haven't run info since I've been doing this but I've seen it work on other lead gen models.
@@ads_ace Looks like I will test it out for ya ;-)
Do you prefer to drop the new ad into an existing ad set, or leverage CBO, and then the new creative to test into a new ad set and let the algo do it's thing.
The latter. I'll setup a new ad set within the main CBO with new test ads.
Who the fuck uses Facebook? 😂
Older demographics do...but this is about Facebook Ads, which includes Instagram
It's not populating the ad text. Only showing the creative. How to fix this?
Hard to tell without looking at it. Is there a primary text box in the edit ad that has been left empty? It could be an ad combo that doesn’t have text if so.
@@ads_ace no it's just not populating the preview as mentioned in a previous comments
I respectfully disagree
Which part?
Great video! I have a question. I sell jewelry gifts on my Shopify store wherein each gift items comes with a piece of jewlery like a necklace or bracelet along with a meaningful message card depending on the relationship. So in my case, it would be a solution aware item wherein customers are looking for gifts. But in order to “stop the scroll” of viewer on Facebook, what should be my hook instead of just saying “Looking for the perfect gift for your wife?❤ Your search ends here”. I spent close to $400 on Facebook Ads to market my Mother’s Day gift products which even had UGC videos. Although I was getting clicks on my Facebook Ads, I got zero sales so it was very demotivating since I was hoping to make a lot of sales as my products are all of top-knothole quality. Is the price as my products start with $59 including shipping? Or is it the fact that the US economy is not doing well for people to buy $59+ products? I would really appreciate your response, thanks!
Can you share the lucid link from this presentation?
Sure, DM me on IG
Great update! If I don’t run dtc but a simple ads you still suggest to have an ads for each ad set or group them ? Still guessing when implementing new creatives if it’s better implementing in an already existing ad set (testing not winners ) or in a separate new ones one
If you're testing different variants of each I would keep the images and videos separate with that setup too, just until they've been tested - winning stuff can all be grouped together. I have full videos on it if you'd like to see a for and against to help, but essentially separate campaigns will create more audience overlap and waste more test budget. But most importantly, once you're at significant scale in your main campaigns, small budget separate tests will give you inaccurate indications of performance.
How much do you think is the minimum to spend a day if you dont have a big budget?
Ideally 3x your target CPA as a minimum (watch this to calculate it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nn2rxrmjncmpitY.htmlsi=OB7gASDJxgOsilW3) If you have a really good creative it will take off on less and you can quickly scale up if you can't afford that though - it's just not ideal. For example, with my brand I was spending $50 a day as that's all I could afford to lose monthly, but once I found a good creative I scaled it up to $350 a day pretty fast.

Why can’t I use a NEW existing post from my instagram in my dynamic creative ad?
What if I am trying to use an existing post in my dynamic creative ad that I hadn’t use previously? I am just trying to run an ad with my new reels from instagram. But can’t use existing post in creative testing
Let me get this correct, you've uploaded a Reel on Instagram and now you want to grab a post ID for that to use as an ad?
If you have a brand new account and site should you do broad do you need to warm the account if so can you do a video about it thanks .
Yes always use broad. It doesn't matter that the account is new, the algorithm now generalizes learnings across domains i.e. it uses the data from similar brands to know how to target your ads.
Hi Cameron - don't you think the question needs to be asked why fb keep trying to hide these - they obviously don't want its advertisers to be using it this way unless I am missing something here? I'll even hazard a guess that fb will do away with DCAs anyway - why? Well with the new ads/ai, you have the ability to input different text and headlines anyway...making them all DCAs.
They are making a lot of changes to the platform, so I think it's likely more collateral damage than an intentional move to hide the features and stop people grabbing Post IDs from DCOs. The Post ID section hasn't ever been affected after all. That said, I'm seeing less Post IDs taking spend away from the test DCO and end up just leaving them running, which there isn't really any issue with.
One of the best explanation videos I have seen. This should be a mandatory FB Tutorial Video haha.
Haha appreciate it!
No it’s so the cashier always had to open the til to give change instead of just pocketing the money.
I think it's a bit off both. But yeah I also agree with your view
Hi, I have a quick question. I made a video that is 9:16. It looks great on mobile, but on desktop, it doesn't change the aspect ratio to 4:5 and remains in the 9:16 ratio, which leaves two black bars on the sides and does not look good. Do you know how to fix this so it fills the screen on desktop as well? Thank you!
Don’t think you can but how much of your spend is actually going to desktop? Usually it’s low these days and better to be mobile optimised
@@ads_aceThanks. So it would probably be best not to display this campaign on desktop at all and to limit it to mobile only, right?
@@matyastrojan4691 Not at all, keep automatic placements. It's optimised for mobile as that's the core device type in the world but it will still perform on desktop feeds with the black sides.

When it comes to creative used, since these campaigns are usually just to get followers do you lean towards something more aesthetic to get people to profile or something "related" to offers for relevance? Knowing that even though the creative is relevant that the follower from Morocco is never likely to actually buy anything.
I think it comes down to what is best at attracting relevant people for your content. E.g. all my stuff is Facebook Ads tutorials, so I'm going to get relevant followers if I post a screen-share tutorial in Ads Manager. However I'll also get relevant followers if I post a video about Iman Ghadzhi, as a percentage of people interested in that individual will have agencies and be interested in my tutorials. The latter likely has a lower CPM(as it's has more wide spread appeal) but does that work out as a better cost per follow than my highly relevant high CPM tutorials? For me, the best way is to post content organically and take what does well to use for ads.
Agree 100%. Launched campaign, got 1,500 followers yesterday - not even sure how as we only spent $25.00@@ads_ace
That gives you the one with the most engagement, but not necessarily the top performer though, no?
Exactly. I think I say it in the video, you need to be careful and check but over a long enough time frame the the top performer will often have the most engagement.
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for!! I spent hours optimizing my creative for the different placements only to encounter the "split data" problem you described. My goal was to create just one creative for video and one for images. Thank you so much for the danger zone illustrations. That makes all the difference.
