    Hey Cameron. How many times does the winning post ID, not take up spend when moved to the winners adset? to me it happens nearly every time and to me it was pointless to turn off the DCT. THe creme does not rise to the top. Do u have an exmample of this?

    Agreed, in the past it would but in 2024 it hasn't been pulling spend for anyone and over the last few months I've stopped even bothering to move the post ID. If a DCT is a winner I just pin it to the top of Ads Manager and continue testing more DCTs. I've taken a YT break to focus on my brand but when I come back I'll do some up to date strategy videos.

    I can maybe do some stuff on how to look at the platforms in collaboration for scaling but the weeds of setting up and optimizing Google campaigns isn't really my area of expertise to be teaching it.

    Nice Video ! I just Wanted to Know What do you mean of 1CBO Per Avatar ?? Thanks

  • @ads_ace

    Create seperate CBO campaigns for each avatar category. If you are a sports shop you would have one campaign for a basketball avatar containing basketballs, jersys and shoes. You would put tennis gear in a different campaign for the tennis avatar.

    Great video! One question: I have one campaign with two ad sets (one targeting lookalike audiences and one targeting custom audiences) and another A+SC campaign. If i want to test broad targeting, should i launch a third ad set in campaign one, or is my AS+C campaign acting as my broad targeting approach?

  • @ads_ace

    The ASC is hitting broad but they tend to hone in on people lower down the funnel, so you can certainly test a manual broad campaign as something different. I would launch the broad test as a separate campaign. You want to have a fixed proportion of spend going to it so you can see how it impacts MER. Unless you are using a third party attribution tool, it's very hard to measure the performance difference between audiences, as the in-platform numbers can be completely wrong. MER will give you a better idea over time, if you've become more efficient with your ad spend by introducing broad.

    @@ads_ace Got it, and these 3 different campaigns would not compete against each other because each creative is defining its own audience, is that correct?

    If you have multiple different products, do you make a separate campaign or do you keep it all in one campaign?

  • @ads_ace

    I'll organize campaigns by avatar, if multiple products are relevant they can go in the same campaign. E.g. basketball shorts, shoes and basketballs can go in the same campaign, hockey skates would be in a different campaign.

    @@rosemarieliu7733 Want to know this as well. I know that budget could play a part in this, but how do you determine when an Ad is "winning" and when do to put the winning ad into the winners ad set. What metrics and timeline should I be looking at?

  • @ads_ace

    @ads_ace

    @@rosemarieliu7733 As it's a new account, it depends on the data I'm seeing. Usually I'll leave creative tests on for a week so stick with that as a guide. If one of the DCTs is drawing most spend I'll turn the other two off and have that as my starting baseline that all new creatives tests have to beat.
