These videos are intended to express the serenity and splendor of nature the way I experience it. Although rattlesnakes are my passion and feature heavily in my work, there is no singular focus to my videos; all of nature is worthy of exaltation. Grand are the trees that send their roots deep into the earth and stretch their branches skyward. Fascinating is the sharp-shinned hawk that stalks the same backwoods roads that I do, although to different ends. Enchanting are the mosshoppers, which spend their existence on and around lichens and moss to best avoid a predatory eye. Sleek and sinuous is the fat black racer that slips stealthily between my legs and vanishes amongst thick brushy cover. Robust is the scent of herbs in the dry, warm summer air of Appalachian timber rattlesnake habitat. And the cool trickling waters of elevated creeks are a wonder to wade in after a long day afield. This is the beauty I try to capture and present.

Phew, i heard what sounded like screaming on my porch and freaked the hell out lol. I thought there was a rotual going on or something deep in the woods behind our house, but thank god its just animals
bro i want a pet coyote so bad does anyone have advice?
Yup. Just moved into the country. Funniest sound!! Hyena’s aren’t the only dogs that laugh I guess.
i hear this every night from the woods in my backyard. exactly how you described. sinister at times.
I woke up in the middle of the night to hearing this and instantly drove off back to the city
I’m in Loganville Georgia out in the country and I heard this exact same noise very loudly last night it sounded almost like a bunch of children going YIP YAOP YIIIP yippee P
I just heard some coyotes
Was just out walking my dog and heard this 😶
Bro has some guts and bravery to do this in the middle of the night
If you can say you’ve heard a coyote laugh at the moon, you’ve got the works in your soul.
It's the celebration of life , of family, of pack, togetherness...being ONE...... BEAUTIFUL... sign that all is well
I believe when you hear more frantic yelping/cackling than that, it is sort of a celebratory call after the killing of prey. Our housing development is in unincorporated South Orange County, CA amid rural environs with lots of coyotes living in the wooded hills and fruit orchards that have been deemed ‘Wildlife Preservation Areas’, with coyotes considered protected species that cannot be killed, harmed or harassed. The coyotes have gotten used to their semi-urban surroundings and even during the daylight hours walking through the neighborhoods and paved trails, I’ve seen coyotes walking or trotting down residential streets and the dirt trails that are part of the community. During evening walks, I have suddenly heard nearby coyote celebratory yelping in the hills at the end of the block, or the next street over, or the nearby sports center that backs up to rolling hills, and at times it had gotten a bit scary. Unless you are in a region that is considered to fall under control of the Bureau of Land Management and outside of city limits, you are not allowed ‘open carry’, so wearing my 9mm holstered and lanyard-secured when walking in ‘coyote country’ is not an option. A 4” (or less blade length) pocket knife or can of dog/bear spray would be your only legal option to defend yourself against an attack by a pack of aggressive coyotes (which had been reported as happening with fatal results in some states).
Admit it. You’re here because you heard some coyote cackling away in the near distance and wanted to reassure yourself that this is indeed what you just heard.
Yea I awoke at 3:30 and heard coyotes some where outside my window.
I heard it while I was walking my dog around our backyard (it’s a huge backyard and isn’t fenced in.) it connects to the woods in some spots and I heard laughing like this and barking and then collective howling getting closer and closer
Exactly why I'm here 😂😂
Literally, it sounds like a flipping clown and it scared me so bad, I had to look it up. My blinds don’t close at all either so it’s like- pitch black out and I’m hearing stuff like that
It's literally terrifying when I'm in a tent in my backyard at night it sounds so close... And I may not be scared of clowns but, it's fricking terrifying that Laugh... That Laugh... It reminds me of clowns laughing randomly at night. Edit: Specifically Manic clowns that just killed someone for fun (the horror movie clowns although I don't watch horror movies. I've seen clips and like short youtube horror films.)
Heard this while camping, I was the only awake, it sounded human but not at the same time, scary stuff
I heard that in the middle of the night. I woke up and then it was the most terrifing shit i have ever heard.. Plus the more bizzare thing is that i live in estonia
Heard this at 2 am at my job site just now. Let's just say thank fuck I'm in a booth because they sounded pretty close.
I'm seeing people mistake that with human laugh? How can anyone mistake for human laugh?
The wild life area is behind my house and 8 was taking out the trash which 8s at the fence of the wild life earea and I heard it and then I ran like u sane bolt and was outta there
They sound like hyenas

I swear to fucking god last night I heard them laughing I’m serious deadass straight fucking face like I felt my heart skip a fucking beat.
heard a whole pack at about midnight after a long yelp from a deer had to google it to see if it was coyotes or not sounded just like this except way louder and plenty more also lasted minuets after the deer’s final whine
Wish that's what I heard I still haven't been able to figure what I heard tonight I'm use to coyotes this is nothing but what I heard tonight getting out of my car and out of the garage scared the absolute fuck out of me sounded like a creepy ass laugh something youd hear in a horror film it was only one animal and it either ran away or came at me all I know was I ran for the door that mfer was super close because I heard the grass rustle before I heard it make its sound and I'm done coming home at 2am lol.
A little while ago I was chilling in my room at night when all of a sudden I heard this outside my window Really freaked me out cause I had never heard it before, hasn't happened before or since, and I've lived in the same place almost all my life
heard this for the first time the other night and being woken up to it around 4 in the morning had me thinking I was bouta fight demons lemme tell u I was ready to GO
welp, I'm not ok. heard this exact sound REALLY close when I got out my car after work
Sounds like those girls who wont shut up in my dorm
Pls keep the babies fed and not in cages. Great job on this recording style!! 🙂
So did he finally get the Road Runner?
Just heard this out side with my dogs off leash in the dark. Never rushed back inside with them so quickly. I thought someone was getting murdered at first.
Oh yeah, they rip apart dogs easily
@@PeaceOfMindStudios 😨
I know right it's horrifying, I sleep outside in the backyard with a tent up sometimes and when I hear the laugh I'm always wanting to rush inside so I don't die either that or I go completely still and stop breathing or hide in my sleeping bag and stay still barely breathing. And that's why I'm scared of the dark in the night outside. Edit; And being terrified of sleeping in case I get attacked or something. The laugh gives me chills.
I had a similar experience today with my dog off leash next me to me at a large 60 acre park. At first they were distant, I couldn’t find any large sticks or rocks as it was getting dark so I started jogging in the direction of my car with my dog and they began running in our direction. I could tell they were closing the distance quickly as I could hear their devilish laughter getting louder and louder, so I began a flat out sprint. Im a very fast runner and large so I was making a ton of noise running on the gravel but they were undeterred and were still closing; I had to estimate them being less than 100 yards away. I stopped running when I got near the less “natural” side of the park with playgrounds and open fields for sports. They stopped chasing when I started walking but their shrill, cackling persisted. This is something I will never forget for the rest of my life.
These critters (along with the mountain lions that hang out near rivers and creeks in central Texas) are exactly why our GPS fence is only a failsafe.
Probably one of the most creepiest sounds to exist.
I just heard one coyote and his laughing sound was a bit deeper I swear there was som man standing in the street laughing… turns out it was just a coyote
My dog ran to something as I was just getting back from a drive. Shortly after I hear a woman screaming sound and laughing, I assumed it was a coyote and all the descriptions fit it 😅
Woken up by one woman screaming, and then 2 women screaming. Next it was a whole party screaming and laughing. Didn’t hear barking, they were squealing and screaming. Scared the crap out of my dog and I. I know it was coyotes but could’ve sworn it was a woman at first
omg i was about to walk my dogs. and i heard this and was scared and thought it could be coyotes.
Where I grew up, you often heard this sound. So distinctive, easy to tell apart from dogs.
Where'd ya go
Not a joke In PA I just last night walked on a road that had no lightings in a football field’s radius As I was walking by the tall field of grass on the long empty road at 3 am, I see the tall grass start moving and hear little laughs like these ones. I could sense it was not something smaller like a fox - because it had been following me rather than running away in the grass. I then had to yell at it to go away but it kept coming back. When it came back I then just ran I am convinced it was a coyote, if not a pack of them. I was lucky enough I had my gat carrying on me, but it still was scary shit cause if I had gotten attacked by a pack my 8 rounder wouldnt have been enough....
Boom. Just like that I appear a year later in your comments to remind you that a chuck norris roundhouse kick will defend any oncoming threat in any circumstance including being out numbered.
This gotta be the creepiest shit and I was at a lake with my brother today and this happened bruh😭
They literally sound like hyenas!!!
Video shows an otter eating an old dying snapping turtle in shallow water. Malawomin video shows similar circumstances except in this one the turtle is almost dead when eaten. Predation on juvenile and adults by snapping turtles does occur just not posted on UTUBE. Otters are opportunistic and aggressive predators on aquatic life throughout their range.
I was standing on a field alone today before it got dark and when I was returning home I heard coyotes 😖 Tbh I didn’t know they’d come so close to where we live
Mfs scared the living hell out of me
People are talking about how creepy it is but like, I kinda love it??
you may be possessed by the devil, take precautions to cleanse you of your impurities
Omfg bro this sound scared the composer shit outta me I thought it was like a woman screaming and then like male laghfter. Also there is a graveyard next to my house and I thought it was coming from there. But yeaah pretty terrible experience
My m9m was taking m6 dog out and me and my brother looked at each other and thought my mom was laughing and my m9ms aid “did you guys hear that?” And I looked it up and this is the noise we heard ( and my puppy is ok and so is my mom)
people need to get out into nature more. always supervise a small animal at night always always
I live in az and right in front of my house is a field and they come around 12am howling and laughing and the laugh kinda freakes me out
YOOO i hear this every fucking night. there have been sightings of coyotes around the area i live in so i was kinda already trailing towards the fact these were coyotes laughing. its so weird omg. at first i thought there were children kept in a house nearby and were being beaten so they screamed like that?? idk i think i was paranoid. thank god its only coyotes.
think thats bad. look up mountain lion screams at night ;)
